It had been about a month or so since Zelda and Link announced Lorel to be their daughter. And Lorel got her official title, Princess Lorel of Hyrule. It still felt weird for everybody to bow to her instead of her bowing to them. Zelda- or Mother got what Purah called the Purah pad. A small place called 'Lookout landing' was built right outside castle town. And not only that, Purah and the Head of Depths researcher had been working on these 'Skyview towers' that they spread across the reagons ever since all the shaikah shrines and towers mysteriously disupered.

"Are you sure you about going to explore the 'Gloom' underneath the castle?" Lorel asked Zelda. They had officially called it Gloom, it was Impa's idea and everybody argred with it.

"We certainly can't ignore this problem the Gloom is causing" Zelda reasoned with her daughter. Lorel sighed, looking over the elizers she prepared for them. "And, I think that it will do you good to be able to get a taste of ruling."

"But it's not my time to rule yet! You nore' Link are that old!" Lorel snapped back. She turned her head, not wanting this to be the last she would see her mother and father before they explore underneath Hyrule castle. "I'm just scared. I've only known you as my Mother and Father for such a short amount of time"

"We all get scared sometimes." Link chimed in. "I was terrified when I had to fight Dark Beast Gannon. But if it weren't for your mother, Saying that; 'Courge is not needed be remembered- for it is never forgotten' I would have ridden my horse and left!" Link laughed a little. Lorel felt a little better.

"Ok," She sighed. "Here are my elixers- I even have some fairy tonic if you need it." Zelda scrunched her nose. "Hey! I'm preparing for the worst!" Lorel explained. Link and Zelda laughed teasingly at Lorel. They hugged Lorel as they walked out through the doors that they thought would lead them to underneath Hyrule castle. Lorel sighed and turned to the guard watching her.

"Want help?" They offered. They held out their hand to Lorel as she tripped. Lorel blushed then grabbed their hand as she got up. "so princess... What shall I do for you?" They pulled out a sword as Lorel whipped around to see her old commander.

Zelda's POV

In truth, Zelda felt nervous about leaving her daughter alone to rule. She tried sounding confidence in her abilities, but, it didn't seem like it worked for her. Zelda tripped down a rock but before she fell, Link grabbed her hand. She lit her torch so they could see anything in the dark depths. They cautiously walked down the long stairwell down finding it more creepier every step.

"This strange gloom keeps getting thicker..." Zelda sighed. They got to the bottom of the stairwell, to turn around the corner to see mine deposits that doesn't look like any material they knew. "We've been descending for a while now. These tunnels are deeper than I thought. What could be down here?" Link started to hear weird voices, almost like somebody was saying something backwards. Link readied his sword tensed by the eeriness of the depths. They found more of the weird glowing stone further down, this time in bigger chunks.

"People have been falling ill after coming in contact with the gloom drifting through these caverns," Zelda explained. She held her torch out a little more to see further through the cave. "Though here, it seems almost misty and not concentrated enough to harm us. We'll keep going, with it coming up beneath Hyrule castle" Zelda Looked at Link who was staying mostly silent. Perhaps hes nervous about leaving Lorel alone too. She relalised.

"We do not know what waits alone, so we need to be ready for anything. But I know I'll be OK with you Link. Let's solve this mystery." Zelda's voice sounded scared. She looked at the walls as they walked further and further into the caverns. The more they walked, the more they could hear disembodied voices. But they couldn't make out what they were saying.
