yoongi's pov: my shift today was as a cashier, as we were low on staff today. usually i'm a chef with taehyung. i was busy taking customers orders when i saw hoseok enter the cafe. i was taken aback, but then i got a notification from my phone.
i had added hoseok as a contact earlier, and just texted to inform who i was and didn't pay much mind. but he had texted again, saying "when you are done with your shift, talk to me." i sighed and put my phone back into my pocket. i brushed my hands off on my apron and rang up the next customer."that'll be $3.28, cash or card." i said in a monotone voice. i really didn't want to deal with hoseok today, i just wanted some rest.
3rd person pov: soon enough his shift ended and he walked over to hoseok standing in the corner looking at his phone.
"hello hoseok. is there something you needed?"
yoongi noticed how hoseok's expression completely changed, from a stern, muted expression, to a teary-eyes frown. yoongi knew he was in for a story.
"can we walk outside?"
"sure, let me just put down my apron and i'll be right there."yoongi made his way out the door next to hoseok and established that they would walk to the park not too far from the cafe.
"hoseok, are you alright?"
that was his breaking point, hoseok let a tear roll down his face yoongi responded by hugging him."o-oh, sorry. i know i shouldn't have hugged you hoseok."
"it's whatever.."
"hey, what's wrong? did something happen?" yoongi asked.hoseok paused, and then began, his voice shaky and seemingly out of breath. "he.. he found me. my father found me. i went into the basement."
"did something happen in the basement? are you okay?"
"i.. i got beaten but not hard enough to break anything. here i'll show you." hoseok pulled up his hoodie to reveal a dark, bruised handprint supposedly from his father. "he slammed my spine into the wall and punched my ribs but other than that i'm fine i guess. but yoongi, it hurts. it hurts so bad. i'm not sure how or why he acts this way towards me. maybe my mom's death was because of me, but there wasn't anything i could have done. i feel at fault, but i know i shouldn't.""hey, hoseok. i'm here for you. it's gonna be okay. you aren't at fault."
the two stopped walking for a a second, and hoseok looked down at yoongi, as yoongi was a bit shorter, and yoongi looked up at hoseok. (something like this)
before yoongi engulfed hoseok into another hug, filled with emotion. hoseok started crying into yoongi's shoulder.
"i'm so tired, min. i just want to be loved."
"me too... but this isn't about me" yoongi thought.
maybe hoseok wasn't as different than what yoongi originally thought.
little did they know, someone was there, that someone being kim jisoo.
