yoongis pov: i sighed again at the cafe i work at, the customers were especially annoying today. i have to work to pay rent in my apartment not too far off campus.
i moved out when i was 12 with my older brother, seokjin. He was 19 when we moved out. We decided to move because of our parents. My mother was a heavy alchoholic, and my dad, well i dont know where he went. my mom was with different people each night, and at some point seokjin got tired of it and just decided to move out with me. but he got in a car crash and passed away just a couple months following. it broke me inside. i fell into a deep depression, everything built up on me, but thats also when i became friends with jeongguk. despite him being two years younger than me, hes the best friend i could ever ask for.
in eighth grade the bullying increased a lot with this new transfer student from gwangju. he was really mean to almost everyone, and also a f-boy. every girl liked him, he was attractive. every boy didnt, because he'd steal their girlfriends and dump them two seconds later. he was a trouble breaker, and was always in detention.
i stared out the window of the cafe. it was cloudy out the window, the cumulous were a deep indigo, but the rain hadnt fallen yet. in the midst of my thoughts, my coworker, taehyung, poked my shoulder, breaking me out of my daydream. i once again started making a drink for one of the customers. a blueberry acai refresher with light ice and two pumps of rasperry juice, not too hard. as soon as that was done, we got a large order for a group of friends. i started making their food and drinks with taehyung and he broke the silence.
"are you alright, yoongi? you looked a little bit down earlier."
i scooped some ice into the cup and poured the juice as well before responding.
"yeah, just thinking. i keep slipping into a daydream whenever im bored, its really boring making the same drink like 70 times for the same little girls in middle school coming with their friends and like one adult, although the last order was out of the ordinary."
he chuckled, "mhm. i get that way too, i just saw that our boss was coming and i didnt want you to get in trouble."
"thank you, taehyung-shii. im on my last strike with mr. bang. he promised i would get promoted by now, but im not."
"hes scary, and ever since i spilled a little bit of a latte on his shoe." taehyung said.
"his shoes are from like the dollar tree, i don't even get why he would be mad at you for that."
"for real."i finished the drinks for the large group and checked my phone, my shift was over.
while i was leaving the cafe, i got grabbed on my right shoulder and spun around.
"oh god no, not right now, i just wanna go home" i thought, it was him.
