My Mates

"I need everyone who is involved with my family to come to the library." I spoke through the intercom system. I waited a few minuets and slowly everyone started to enter the room. Trevor and his new mate the last to enter.

"I have some things I need to explain to everyone. In person." I said looking sternly at everyone. "As some of you know I am the Alpha of this pack, we are called the Shipson pack. My wife and mate is Mercy Mae. My children are Trevor, Mae Lynn, and Victoria. We have recently found our missing daughter Mae. We have reason to believe the man who came with Mae is part of a rouge group that kidnapped her."

Kyle started to protest but sat back down actually thinking it through. He looked sad and disappointed.

"I need to know everything." Mae looked to Kyle with a sad expression.

While Kyle explained everything the whole story started to come together. Kyle's family is an accomplice with her kidnapper Mitch. Jason, Kyle's father, was to keep her occupied while Mitch was on a hit job for the summer. For years every summer she came to stay with them while he was doing jobs. They were always on our farthest border and we never knew it. They kept her wolf and scent hidden with the spells the kidnappers wife made, herbs and potions. We learned the wife, Morgana, was a witch that lost her baby, Ally, at a couple weeks old. Mitch didn't want his wife to grieve a lost child so decided to kidnap one. Morgana then died of cancer a few years later and Mitch has been raising Mae himself since then.

"It's rare for wolves to have multiple mates, but actually pretty common for wolves with an alphas blood. Two mates are more common but more than that is rare, unless they are the next wolf king or queen chosen by the moon goddess." I explained to my children and their mates. "Usually once the chosen mate has been marked the others either die or mark another wolf to survive. Its rare to have more than one wolf mark someone and survive the bond, especially if they're not a king or queen."

"There will be a mating que for the King. He is visiting other packs trying to find all of his mates." Mercy remembered. 

I nodded and said," there's a chance one or both of you girls could get chosen as his Queen. Please refrain from being alone with your other mates." I looked at the girls who were blushing trying not to look at me. 

"Well, I don't want to be Queen." huffed Vicky. "I only want Nathen, I've known him the longest." She grabbed his arm and pouted, Nathen had a sad look on his face.

I sighed and glanced over at Mae. She just looked so overloaded with information. "When will he arrive?" She asked in a quiet voice while looking out the window. 

"Within the week." I said. She just sat back into her chair and closed her eyes sending a tear down her face. We only just got her back, I really don't want her to leave again. "You're all dismissed."

"Sir, the last pack is in the mountains, the Shipson pack. It'll take us about five to seven days if there are any delays."

"Make sure they are none," I said. "I'd like to get this done with as fast as possible Gabe."

"Yes sir." Gabe hurriedly grabbed the remaining papers off the desk and left the pack room. 

"Devin, who are the alphas unmated female children in the Shipson pack?" I asked my beta turning around in the chair.

"They're twins, Victoria and Mae. Which there are reports of Mae showing back up." 

"What happened?" I asked my interest growing with this last pack. I folded my hands and leaned on the desk.

"Tell me." I smirked at Devin
