Chapter 10: Announcing the Engagement

Queen Delightful rang the Bing Bong Bell so that she could tell the 7D, Empathy, Vigilantra, and, of course, her niece Megan the big news about her and Lord Starchbottom. Each of them popped out of the Funnel Tunnels and saluted her.
Dwarves: THE 7D!

Empathy: And Empathy!

Vigilantra: And Vigilantra!

Megan: And Megan too!

All: AT YOUR MAJESTY'S SERVICE!

Queen Delightful: Thank goodness you're all here. Lord Starchbottom and I have something very exciting to tell you.
Bashful: You're not pregnant with his baby, are you?
Lord Starchbottom: No, she's not.
The queen held out her hand, which had her glowing ring on that finger.
Lord Starchbottom: We're getting married, bitches! I'm sorry you have to hear me say that, my queen.
Queen Delightful: No worries, Starchbottom. I was just gonna say the same thing. WE'RE GETTING MARRIED, BITCHES!
Megan: Congrats, Aunt Delightful!
The queen and her niece shared a hug.
Delightful: Thank you, honey. We are very excited. Starchbottom is just the best companion.

Starchy: No, you are the best.

The two of them shared a few small smooches. Bashful rolled his eyes at the sight of them kissing.
Empathy: (whispers) Do you still love her?
Bashful: (nods his head) But I love you more.
Empathy: I love you, but I wish that you no longer had feelings for the queen.
That wish came true and Bashful was now wondering what was going on.
Empathy: The queen and Starchy just got engaged.
Bashful: Wait, really? Congratulations, Queen Delightful.
Delightful: Thank you, Bashful. We hope Starchy's family will show up to the wedding.
Starchy: (sarcasm) Yay. It'll probably be more exciting seeing Uncle Humidor.
Empathy: Who is Uncle Humidor?

Happy: Do you want us to say who he is in song form?
Empathy: Absolutely!

Grumpy: Not! I thought all these stories were where we're only singing songs by popular singers instead of original songs that were actually sung in our songs.
Sneezy: Well, then what other song do you want to sing, Grumpster?
Grumpy: I don't know and I guess I don't care if it's a love song or not.
Doc: All of these stories have had a significant amount of romance so it obviously makes sense.
Happy started strumming a heartwarming tune on his guitar.
Happy: 🎵There I was again tonight, forcing laughter, faking smiles, same old tired, lonely place.🎵
Megan: 🎵Walls of insincerity, shifting eyes and vacancy, vanished when I saw your face.🎵

Empathy: 🎵Your eyes whispered, "Have we met?" Across the room, your silhouette starts to make its way to me.🎵
Bashful: 🎵The playful conversation starts, counter all your quick remarks like passing notes in secrecy.🎵

Sleepy and Sneezy: 🎵This night is sparkling, don't you let it go. I'm wonderstruck, blushing all the way home. I'll spend forever wondering if you knew I was enchanted to meet you!🎵
Vigilantra: 🎵The lingering question kept me up, 2AM, who do you love? I wonder 'til I'm wide awake?🎵
Delightful and Starchy: 🎵Now I'm pacing back and forth, wishing you were at my door. I'd open up and you would say, "Hey, it was enchanting to meet you." All I can say is I was enchanted to meet you.🎵

Everybody watched as Bowtie and Flowerpot gazed into each other's eyes and held each other's hands tightly.

The two lovebirds shared a kiss, which made everyone else hyped up about it. Starchy didn't mind seeing it, but he also didn't hate it.
Starchy: It is Pride Month after all.
Hell yeah, it sure is Pride Month! All the homophobes and transphobes can fuck off! Don't judge people for who they love or what they identify as. Unrelated to that, today was my last day of high school, which was really exciting. My graduation ceremony is in 2 weeks on the 24th and I'm excited for that too.
