Owlette paced back and forth in her HQ room, reading aloud from a piece of paper. "'We've been best friends ever since Year 1, and now...' um..." She felt awkward reading this out to her PJ pet Owly and An Yu, who were also in the room. "'Now I see you more than a-"
Just then, Owly swooped up to her owner and snatched the piece of paper with her talons. She tore it up and threw it into the wastepaper basket.
"Owly!" Owlette put her hands on her hips. "I spent two whole hours after school working on that! It's the only way I can tell him how I feel."
Owly shook her head and hooted.
"What do you mean, 'not really genuine'?" asked Owlette in disbelief.
"I kind of agree with your owl pet. Reading out loud to him from a piece of paper isn't really the best way to express your love to someone." An Yu walked up to Owlette and placed a hand on her shoulder. "You should just trust your instincts and tell him, without a script."
"I'm not so sure," said Owlette as she twiddled her fingers. "I usually do things with a proper plan in place, and I wanna make sure all this goes right."
"Love isn't about plans," said An Yu. "It's all about the unexpected and going along with whatever comes next. I know you'll do fine telling him."
"You think?" Owlette asked hopefully.
"I don't think so," replied An Yu with a smile. "I know so."
Meanwhile, Catboy was in his HQ room with Gekko. He was holding a rose. "I'm not so sure if you feel the same way, but I kinda like you. Like, REALLY like you." He held out the rose towards Gekko. "Would you maybe, I dunno... like to go out with me sometime?" He made his cutest kitty eyes.
"I don't know." Gekko tapped his chin thoughtfully. "Something still doesn't feel right."
Catboy slumped. "What? But I had been working on this all through lunchtime today!"
Gekko folded his arms and teasingly raised an eyebrow. "No wonder I didn't see you at the lunch table at school earlier today. And you seemed like you were out of energy since after lunch too. You were practicing on telling her how you feel, weren't you buddy?"
"Cut it out, dude!" Catboy felt his cheeks flush with embarrassment. "But... yeah, I was. I just want everything to go right. What if she doesn't like me back? What if things start to get awkward between us? What if-"
"Whoa, calm down there," said Gekko as he placed his arms on his friend's shoulders. "It's gonna be fine. I know she'll like you back. I've got a feeling."
"Your Super Gekko Sense?" asked Catboy teasingly, though he still seemed worried.
Gekko laughed. "Yeah, my Super Gekko Sense is telling me she'll definitely like you back, and that you'll both live happily ever after." That was enough to bring a smile back to Catboy's face.
"But seriously though, I know it's all gonna go okay." Gekko gave him an encouraging smile.
"Yeah, I guess you're right. I've got this! I can do this!" Catboy was back to his normal self.
"Now that's the amazing and brave Catboy I know," said Gekko as the two of them fist bumped.
At that moment they heard PJ Robot beeping over the PA system. "We've got ourselves a mission," said Catboy as he and Gekko walked towards the main room. "I wonder what it is."
"Me too," replied Gekko. "Too bad Newton's not here. He's in another state to visit his aunt and uncle for the week."
As soon as they got to the main room, they saw that PJ Robot, Owlette, An Yu and Ice Cub were already there waiting for them.
