Falling With Four

I stand there, my mouth gaping open. There's no way. Three - No four, there's another inside, Am I dreaming?

One of the Reese's locks eyes with me, he taps one of the other 2 copies and he also looks at me, they whisper something and they tap the third one. I can feel my face, practically scorching. They all three look at me, one of them smiles and faintly waves, one of them smirks, and the third of them nods.

I don't even know what to do, I just turn around and get into my car, I'm going home.

Walking through my apartment door, I feel exhausted. Normally, I do my whole 10-step
skincare, blah blah. But - I'm tired and severely confused from today. I go straight to my closet, put on my favorite pajamas, and slump into bed.

"Noooooo." I groan as my alarm goes off. It's okay, just two more days of work then it's the weekend. After a good nights sleep, I'm feeling very much refreshed. I take a quick shower and go to my closet. I choose my Nike red hoodie, with simple leggings and a puffer to top it off - yes, I love my puffer jackets. I do my makeup very simply, and head to the parking garage.

I have to make a stop at starbucks - and I've got time! Arriving to work after my pit stop, I'm just on time. I once again have to speak to the very mean girl at the front, ugh as if she forgot me in a day. "As I was saying ma'am, I am Mr.Romanov's PA"

"Sorry.. I'm just not seeing your name on his approved guest list."

I was literally here. Yesterday.

"Listen.. I was -" Someone behind me clears their throat before I can finish. I turn my head and see Reese. "Oh, Mr.Romanov, I was just-"

"Mr.Romanov? You know me?" He asks while looking both shocked but also smirking. Well, that kinda bruised my ego, he already forgot me in a days time?  "Um, well yes. You introduced yourself to me yesterday. Does no one remember yesterday? Am I crazy?" I say it as a joke but no one is laughing. Okay. Am I actually crazy?
His eyebrows raise and he nods, "Oh yes, of course." The clerk girl goes to say something but he shakes his head, "That'll be it, Lexi, please excuse me and my guest here." He takes my arm and pulls me with him. I'm too stunned to say anything, so I just allow myself to be dragged away with him.

As we're walking to the elevator I pull my arm back away from him and he chuckles, "Sorry, the touchiness, I just could see how Lexi and you were having a bit of an altercation." I just nod. He walks to his office door but before he goes in he turns to me, "And what is your name?"

"You really don't remember me? I'm literally your assistant, we met yesterday- wow." I chuckle to myself.
He just smiles at me, "No my dear, I'm afraid we haven't met."

Before I can tell him we have in fact met, he turns and opens the door. I'm greeted with Reese.

Holy- I totally forgot there's four.  It didn't even occur to me that the person I was walking with wasn't my boss. How could I be so stupid.

"Valeria?" The real Reese says, "What are you doing with-"

"Hello brother, I see you have a new assistant, I'm a bit upset you didn't inform me, she's quite gorgeous, but I do remember seeing you," he turns and looks down at me, "last night."

"Last night? You were with her last night?" Reese speaks utterly confused and also sternly. "Ummm.." I speak up, "I'm not at all sure of what's going on here, or why there's four of you, but I only saw you," I look at Reese's brother, "for a quick second. And I totally and completely forgot there was more than one of you," I point at Reese.

"Yes my dear," the brother speaks up, "there is four of us, thankfully, the other two aren't here. I'm utterly devastated you had to meet him first," he looks at Reese and continues, "I'm Riley, the better brother." A chuckle slips out and I clear my throat as Riley takes my hand into his and places a kiss on it. Reese looks angry, he snatches my hand out of his brothers and pulls me outside of his office.

"Valeria, I'm sorry for this unwelcome surprise, if you could please head to your office, I will come and speak with you later." He smiles down at me. "Um, yeah, okay." I turn and walk to the elevator. I press my floor, one below Reese's and wait. I let out a deep sigh. Man this is so weird. They really look identical, I didn't even know that wasn't my boss. The elevator pings and, my gosh can this day get any more eventful, the other two brothers are standing there.

so.. I know the chapters aren't thattt long ;( but i'm planning on posting two a week ! maybee more but 2 minimum! also, i'm in highschool and as most of you also are, you know it's almost summer - thank the Lord. So with finals this week, the chapters will be short, but after schools over definitely expect longer chapters! thanks for giving my book a chance loves 🩷
