After the dance of dragons, a woman named Kinvara, a red priestess pulled Aemond Targaryen's body from the bottom of the ocean. She could have healed him and revived him there, but it was better that Aemond Targaryen stayed dead until it was time for him to do his duty and redeem himself.

For centuries, Kinvara preserved Aemond's body with black magic until it was time. She received word that Daenerys Targaryen had arrived on Dragonstone. Kinvara had seen centuries into the future, and it is why she dedicated her life to this cause.

The long night is coming, and only a Targaryen can save this world.

"It is time, my prince." She told him. "Your time has come to awake once more."

Kinvara stood in the temple of R'hllor, surrounded by flickering flames.

With a wave of her hand, Kinvara summoned the power of R'hllor, and the flames around her grew brighter. The tomb began to shake, and Aemond's body rose from its resting place, his eyes opening for the first time in centuries.

"Rise, Aemond," Kinvara said. "I have brought you back to the land of the living for a purpose."

Aemond stood up slowly, feeling weak and unsteady on his feet. He looked at Kinvara with confusion in his eyes. He was completely naked. "Where am I? What has happened?"

"You have been dead for centuries, Aemond," Kinvara replied. "But now you are alive again, thanks to the power of R'hllor."

"How did I die?" Aemond asked angrily.

"You were killed by Prince Daemon Targaryen."

Aemond stood there in shock and remembered.  The last thing he saw was Daemon jumping from his dragon and killing him.

Aemond looked down at his hands, flexing his fingers. "This is impossible," he said, his voice barely above a whisper.

"Nothing is impossible when you have the power of the Lord of Light on your side," Kinvara replied.

"What about my family? My mother? My sister? My brothers?" He asked.

"Your sister killed herself. Your brother Aegon II was poisoned. Your brother Daeron died in battle, and your mother died in her own bed from sickness."

Aemond felt a wave of despair. Everything and everyone he knew was gone. His family. His dragon. It was all gone.

Aemond looked up at her, his eyes narrowing. "Why did you bring me back? What do you want from me?"

Kinvara placed a hand on Aemond's shoulder. "You must help Daenerys Targaryen become queen of the Seven Kingdoms. She is your kin, and it is your duty to see her on the Iron Throne."

Aemond shook his head, still trying to make sense of what was happening. "I don't understand. How can I help her? I have been dead for centuries, like you said."

"You have knowledge of the past, Aemond. You can guide her towards victory," Kinvara said.

Aemond sighed heavily, feeling overwhelmed by the situation. "The Targaryen dynasty has been broken. What good can I do now?"

"You can make amends for your mistakes, Aemond. You can help restore your family to its former glory," Kinvara replied, her voice filled with conviction.

Aemond looked at her for a long moment, then nodded slowly. "What am I to a Queen?"

"You will be of great use to her, Aemond."

Aemond felt his scar. He still had his saffire eye.

"Can you heal my eye?" He asked.

Kinvara shook her head. "You do not need it."

"What do you know of what I need? My family is dead! Everyone is dead!" He yelled.

"You must carry this burden. Daenerys Targaryen has just arrived on Dragonstone, and you must meet with her and tell her who you are." Kinvara said to him and handed him some clothes.

"I don't even know her."

"Daenerys Targaryen is the mother of dragons. The Khaleesi of the Great Grass Sea, the Unburnt, the Breaker of Chains. She has done many great things, Aemond, and I will tell you all about it, but that is not what you should be worried about."

"What should I be worried about?" He asks.

"The people around her. Some are loyal, but many are not. Save Daenerys and her dragons. This you must do."

He hesitated but then took a deep breath. "I will."

"Remember, Aemond, your duty is to protect her. There can be no room for romance."

"There won't be."

She took the sword that was on her table and handed it to him.

Aemond knew this sword. The sword that was used to kill him. The sword of Daemon Targaryen. Dark sister. He felt the weight of the sword. He was confused, but he wanted to meet this Daenerys. He knew he played a part in the downfall of his family, and maybe he could fix it.

"Remember. You are the blood of the dragon. Just like her." Kinvara told him.

Kinvara traced her finger along the scar on Aemond's face. She knew everything about him. She knew everything he did, and it is why she saved him. Kinvara believed that Aemond would be able to find REDEMPTION.

"One more thing, Aemond." Kinvara said firmly. "Beware of the one they call Jon Snow."
