H.I.A

“So, what happened to make you come here?”
The mission, it was what made me come here. It was supposed to be an easy mission, but it was far from that. We ended up, but no, I messed up the mission.
“Are you turning yourself in?”
No, because someone made things a lot worse for everyone. The mission was to go to the summer solstice ball. The whole thing was a ritual for the sun. The winter solstice ball was a ritual for the moon. What we were going for was to steal something called a reaper’s dagger. From the picture, it is a black dagger with a stuff craved on the handle. Toby said that it was the story of the dagger.
“Do you know what the story was?”
Sort of, it was about two brothers and how the older one betrayed the younger brother. By stabbing him in the chest, pricing his chest. The younger brother was immortal, but the betrayal of his trusted brother caused him so much pain that it never healed. Which affected the dagger to change so that way whoever stabbed the scar would never heal. Of course, I thought it myth of it, causing someone to never heal where they were stabbed.
“Why were you guys stealing it?”
My dad and Toby decided not only did they want it but that it would be the perfect mission for me to go on. As you know, I've never been on one. That’s why he was training me to prepare for the mission. So, when the night came to get ready, everything was set up perfectly. We both got dressed in our suits and masks and got our hidden weapons ready.  My suit was a black suit with stars on it, the mask had a big sun in the middle where my nose was. Toby’s was half black and half white, and when I said that, I was not kidding. His mask was black and white, and he wore a pin on his left shoulder. A mask that had a smile on it. The only strange thing here was he only hid on a weapon a knife in a holder on his ankle. I question it.
“Did you get the answer why he did that?”
Yeah, he had a lot of hidden weapons with him. When we got in the car taking us there, he went over the plan again and the backup plan if something goes to the array. When we got there, we did what we were supposed to do. We would go separate ways and look to see where the guards were at. I was doing the left side of the building and him the right. Everything from there was fine. When we went into the room it was held in, things got complicated. Turns out they were showing the dagger and other items in the room. We both didn’t know that.
“Let us guess, they had a big curtain and opened it right. Well, you guys were grabbing the dagger.”
Nope, they were taking boxes out to the main area to put them on display. So, we had to hide quickly. That’s when I messed up, I ended up knocking over a box with seeds in it.
“How was that an issue?”
I didn’t know that Toby would unknowingly have a reaction that caused the seeds to grow. It was the weirdest thing. They grew fast, and although they looked the same, the plants they grew into all looked different. But it made me notice that someone was there. Because they started turning their flashlight unto where we were and started yelling back at the others “Over here.” Which focused all of the people's attention on us.
“Did they see you?”
No, not them, but the leader who was instructing them what to do. He looked just like Toby but with black hair and pinkish eyes. When I saw him start to walk towards us, I looked at Toby and mouthed what we did.
“So, what did you do?”
He told me just to stay still. I did, but it was my mistake that even caused what happened next to happen. The dude yelled at the others to move the boxes. When they did, they saw Toby but didn’t see me. He got up and put his arms in the air like he was getting arrested. That’s when the dude who looked like him stated “Oh, great, of course it’s you. What a party crasher.” I looked at Toby, and he didn’t look back, but I knew he knew I was looking, asking what to do. That’s when he said “Zeal how awful to see you again. Now, how about we get a drink, take a walk in the vents, or can you turn around?”
“Why did he say it like that?”
It was code. It put it backward. I was to turn around, go to the vents, which there was one behind me, and go get a drink and act normal. So, I did, or at least I thought about the acting normal part.
“So, you did get in the vent and get a drink just didn’t act normal?”
Of course, I didn’t act normally. My friend had just been captured and wanted me to act like everything was normal. It was insane. I mean, I acted normal up to a point, though.
“What do you mean by to a point?”
Well, they had a bagony part, and on it stood a man with a mask. It was the dude who I think he called Zeal. He ancocced that we had special visitor and that they were to be killed under the sun’s command. I knew that it was a lie. I realized that the special visitor was my friend. So, before they showed him who it was, I got up on one of the beams and waited for them to show him. When I did, I jumped down and punched one of the guards off. Then, the other one started to choke me with his arm. Somehow, Toby exacsed the chains from which he was being held and hit the guard on the head. He looked at me with anger in his eyes. “GOT FUCKING DAMMIT CHILD YOU SHOULDN’T HAVE DONE THAT.” He yelled well sort of he tried to be quiet because no one had seen what happened. “I SWEAR”, he sighed looked down and sort of reset, “Look I have the dagger. All you have to do is act normally. I will get us out of here easily.”
“So did you guys get out safely?”
I did but my friend didn’t. When we started to leave the roof opened and all the windows and doors slammed shut. When Toby tried to open one of the doors it wouldn’t budge. He looked at me and put his mask on. So, I put my back on and followed his lead. He followed everyone else to look at the sun. Then Zeal was on the balancy and spoke in a language I had never heard. I looked at Toby he whispered, “try to ignore the words if you focus on them, they will take your soul.” I learned that they were using the souls of the guest for some sort of spell. So, I didn’t listen to the words I instead listened to my breathing. I noticed that everyone’s heads were moving up their eyes white blood dripping out of them. Toby nudged my shoulder to tell me to mick them. And I did but, for some reason. I still felt as if Zeal knew we were upon the crowd.
“So, what happened next?
Everyone dropped to the ground. Toby grabbed my wrist, and we ran for the door. The roof had closed, and the doors and windows had opened. So, we ran for the door. But when I pushed the door open and went outside Toby wasn’t with me. I turned around just in time to see an arrow pierce his chest and him cough up blood. He yelled at me to go and that he would be fine as long as I ran home. So, I ran for the car we hid in the bushes and made it home. When I made it home and told my father what happened he told me to just act normally and that he would deal with it. But I know he isn’t dealing with it. That’s why I came here so you guys can try and find my friend.
“Alright thank you. We will try to do are best with the information you gave us.”
Please, you have to find him. Please.
