Opposites: Hatred Or Unbridled Passion

Chapter 2

Raven had a autograph signing in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Which was also where she was from.  She now lived in San Diego. Every time she was home she always visited her nonna, the Italian word for grandma. Raven's grandma was Italian. She had raised Raven from a month old. She was sixty-eight.

Raven walked into the house she was raised in.

"Nonna?" She called.

"Hi Raven." She said coming down the stairs.

"Hi." They hugged.

"Do you want some coffee?"

"Yes." They went into the kitchen and sat at the table as the coffee brewed.

"How was your signing?"

"Good."

"How is Britt?"

"She's fine."

"Is she still with Austin?"

"Yes."

"Anyone special in your life?"

"Not presently."

"I'm surprised, you work with a lot of attractive men."

She laughed. "Nonna."

Later that night Raven was in her hotel room. She was sitting on the couch reading Romeo &
Juliet. She loved reading. When she wasn't traveling for work she was very much a homebody.

Two days later Raven was on the tour bus. She was in the bathroom putting make-up on. There was a knock on the bathroom door.

"How much longer are you gonna be?" Sam asked. "You've been in there for fifteen minutes."

"I'll be out in a few minutes."

"I have to go to the bathroom."

"Go jump off a bridge while you're waiting Daredevil Boy."

"Have some consideration for other people for once Little Miss Priss."

Five minutes later Raven came out of the bathroom.

"There Daredevil Boy, I'm done." Raven said. "You and your little cocktail wiener are good to go."

"Screw you."

"Not if you were the last man on Earth." "I like my sexual encounters to last more then sixty seconds." She went to the front of the bus. Sam went into the bathroom.

The next night Raven was hanging out with Britt in Britt's room.

"How was your visit with your nonna?" Britt asked.

"Good." "She asked if you were still with Austin."

"I love her."

"She asked if I was dating anyone." "Like she does every time I see her."

"She just wants you to be happy."

"I am happy."

"What's with you and Sam?"

"Sam?" She said confused. "Oh, Daredevil Boy?"

"Yeah."

"I don't know what you're talking about." "I don't like him, he doesn't like me, end of story."

"I think you two might have crushes on each other."

Raven laughed hard. "Me and Daredevil Boy?" "Britt, come on." "Have you not seen the way we interact with each other?"

"Yes and that has me convinced even more."

"Oh yeah, Daredevil Boy is all I've been thinking about." She said sarcastically. "I have such a weakness for out of their mind jackasses."

"I don't believe you."

"Trust me, I don't want anything to do with him."
