The car ride was long and exhausting. They had been on the road for 3 hours as the beach was far from their hometown. But it was worth it. They were looking forward to sometime together to relax and get away from the busy university life filled with seemingly endless classes and lab sessions.

                        Jay and Kevwe were sat on their towel placed on the hot sand. Well, more accurately, she was sitting criss-cross applesauce while he lay down with his head resting on her lap.They didn't talk much.They just enjoyed the comfortable silence that usually fell whenever they were in each others' prescence.All their planned activities had already been carried out.

Building Sandcastles? Check.

Playing in the water? Check.

Taking a walk along the shore? Check.

Eating lots of food? Check.

                      

                       It was time for them to make their way back to school but Jay had insisted that they wait for a bit. "Why?", Kevwe asked, her thick dark eyebrows scrunched in confusion. "You can see the sunset anywhere". "True, but the beach isn't just anywhere. I want you to see how it looks here", Jay replied.He'd seen the much anticipated view when he came here last with his friend,Jungwon. She nodded her head in acceptance and went back to playing with his hair.
 

                       

                       Slowly everywhere was bathed in a warm orangish yellow light as the sun descended below the horizon. "Wow, it's beautiful" Kevwe said referring to how the sky was covered in splotches of purple and orange and pink. She was already thinking of how she would paint it as soon as she had her art supplies within reach.

                         Meanwhile Jay had sat up and was now also criss-cross applesauce besides her. Time seemed to slow down as he watched as the gold light bathed Kevwe's beautiful dark skin,and how it bounced off her irises illuminating them .But most importantly he watched as her eyes filled with wonder and appreciation for the sight before her and the corners of her lips moved upwards revealing her breathtaking smile .Jay could feel his heart beat so hard he could only hope she didn't hear it.He used to think that it was impossible that Kevwe could be even more beautiful than she usually is. Key word :used to."Yes,it is" he replied, his eyes still lingering on her as a soft smile graced his lips.
