Go Eun frowned at her phone, biting her lip.
She had some success so far at her job search, but she was so uncertain about it. Mostly, she was skeptical about the future.
Go Eun had to tell herself repeatedly that she was not the one that decided for her area of focus in university. Her grades had made the decision for her. The arts were merely learned for the sake of learning, and though Go Eun had no interest in that aspect, she'd begun to be fond of it over the years.
She could not say she had no interest in them. Or else, her efforts would never bear any fruits. Most of the time, Go Eun went against her own pursuits, choosing the path that would make her most successful for her future. Because if she did not turn out to be, she would be the disappointment of her parents.
Blowing a loose strand of hair away from her face, Go Eun leaned onto the rocking chair with a huff. It was time for her to focus on her job search again. She had had two free days already, doing nothing but lazing around and being Chul's chaperone for his date.
Speaking of Chul and his supposed girlfriend, Camaderiana, Go Eun had not heard about them since the previous day. Chul had recovered from his flustered state of yesterday, going about his daily routines like nothing had happened.
Go Eun had been keeping a rather close eye on Chul, trying to detect any oddness in his personality. Chul was the type to change his life for a girl. On the outside, he could look rugged and nonchalant, but in the interior, he actually had a soft little heart.
Despite Go Eun's objections, she figured she would give Chul some time to spend with Camaderiana. She could not spoil his first love. Even though Go Eun knew there was only a slim chance they would actually get together, letting Chul have a little bit of fun would not hurt, will it? After all, people didn't learn unless they had been in that situation before themselves.

Go Eun knew what it would be about already.
Her father shut the door behind her. His face was shrouded by shadows.
"Have a seat."
That was the typical way he always started with. Take a seat. Then he would pace around her, giving her scrutinizing stares while Go Eun squirmed uncomfortably in her seat.
Go Eun sat as she was told, though.
"Don't you want to know why I called you here?"
Go Eun gave her father a wary sideways look, fully aware that he was standing behind her, his sharp gaze seeming to bore into the back of her neck.
If her father was going to give her the silent, smug treatment, Go Eun figured that she would let him get a taste of his own medicine.
Go Eun kept quiet.
Her father took quick strides to the television cabinet in his room, grabbed the remote and turned on the television, much to her surprise. Immediately, the screen lit up and a screen recorded video started playing.
The video featured a news report. According to the date, that was taken from the previous day. In the video, there was a presentation screen beside the news woman. On the screen, there were a few low resolution photographs of a girl in a pink hoodie and black pants.
Go Eun knew right away that the girl was her, and her blood ran cold. There was no mistaking it. Her father had also gave her a tongue lashing the previous day, and it seemed that he was at it again.
She sat there, frozen for a moment. Little did she know things would burgeon to this extent, to the point that that topic would be discussed on national news.
