Aafiya and Jobe had a mutual hate for each other and it didn't help that there familys were so close- ever since childhood they never got along always competing with each other academically and socially!

ever since the night we spent at Dahlia's... jobe has been acting weird, agreeing to everything i say and the eye contact is indescribable but there is just one thing that replays in my head 'i think you know who i like' WHAT DOES THAT EVEN MEAN! is it me? is it Lou ? is it someone else? who know-
i'm interrupted from my thoughts by an obnoxious and unnecessarily loud laugh looking around the lunch table i see the others in their own conversations i look at over jobe only to see Lou in his lap still laughing
i stare at her "can you not be so loud!-" i say loudly "what is your problem, you're always so angry?" she laughs "my problem is that you're over here annoying everyone... i mean nothing is that funny" "well everyone's annoyed with your bad attitude all the time" everyone hums in agreement with her as jobe sits there with a blank face
i look at my friends watching them nod "are you guys seriously agreeing!" i say
"you're taking it the wrong way" dahlia looks to me
"oh fuck all of you" i laugh grabbing my bag as i walk out the cafeteria

"what do you want?" i sigh
"i said i'd always be there for you.. did you think i wouldn't follow through?!"
i stare at him silently
"what's your problem?!" he says
"you know i didn't agree with what she said" he says quietly staring back at me
i scoff "if you didn't agree why didn't you stick up for me?"
"what was i supposed to say aafiya! was i supposed to yell at them?! what!"
"no but all it would've took was for you to at least say something while they all agreed, i was sitting there getting chewed up by your little girlfriend "
chuckling; he says "maybe they just feel that way because you always have a problem with Lou"
"i don't have a problem with Lou all she does is talk about you and that's what's annoying"
"she's a nice girl just-"
"you're so full of shit." i cut him off
"how long will this go on for?" he sighs
i glance at him only to see him already looking at me
"let's go back, yeah?" he grabs my hand walking back to the cafeteria leading me past the table i can feel everyones eyes on us as we're now sat further away from them
we're sitting across from each other talking and laughing about random things
time has gone by and it's the end of lunch we're standing up on our way out when Lou comes over wrapping her arms around Jobe
we stare at each other "see you later" he says
