All the Royal Families dress in the color of their gem for occasions of importance, which helped Quinn differentiate between who's who. The back two rows on both sides are full with the Carnelian family, their shades of red hair hard to miss. They take up so many seats because of their large numbers. The Queen and her late husband birthed six kids together who grew to have their own kids, except for one, Wendy. She's my favorite Carnelian royal, besides her mother, and is very, very, very against marrying. She is the black sheep of their family, in the eyes of other kingdoms, but all of the Carnelian Kingdom love her. She's sweet, straightforward, wild, and adventurous, making her the designated fun aunt.
In the row in front of them, the Jade royals sit on the left, the Ruby royals on the right. The Jade king and queen sit in a perfect picture of elegance and beauty with their three daughters while the Ruby kingdom's daughter wolf whistles and cheers as I pass. Ruby's king and queen have one biological daughter, for no lack of trying. The Queen sadly suffered many miscarriages and even considered adoption, a royal taboo, for a long while before she successfully had Toni, who is a fast friend of mine that implores my humor and foolishness. The youngest Jade royal is also a friend of mine, you'd never know it though because, as well as it being a recent thing, her parents are wary of my father, even though he has no ties to Gold, so she doesn't show it much around other people. When she needed a confidant, I had no problem helping her and I was thankful that she did the same for me after the situation with my parents.
The third row on both sides holds the Amethyst royals. They think they are better than everyone else, even though they have the most problems. Most gossip involving royal families has to do with the Amethyst Kingdom. The queen re-married three times for the purpose of making her kids diverse and unique. The oldest daughter took after mother in the way that she was a serial dater with problematic kids. She has four of them and she tries to raise them with little to no help at all. This causes conflict between the eldest two siblings because her brother tries to help but lies about it. The last children of the Queen are an immature pair of twin boys who are somehow older than me by three years. They rarely talk to anyone other than their other half, isolating themselves from others to go make mischief no one could pin them for.
The last row, closest to the altar, has the northern kingdoms, Opal and Turquoise. The Opal kingdom is the smallest, but nicest kingdom. They have the least conflicts, positively due to their strict requirements for allies. The king and queen are both very caring and sent lots of encouragement after the declared death of my parents in the form of gifts and letters. Their children, a son and daughter respectively, are very sweet too, and have a love for books, astrology, and the wilderness like I do. I've visited them a few times, but with them being such a small kingdom with no one to watch over it if they left, they have only visited once.
The Turquoise kingdom is far colder though, in both temperature and attitude. All of the royals have striking blue eyes that could freeze your veins. Sleek black hair ran through their family too, making them almost as easy to identify as the Carnelian royals. These royal kids, though more proper, were unconventional as said by their mother. The oldest child, the daughter, wants to be the leader of the kingdom's guard. She doesn't really care about ruling the kingdom but would rather have a hand in protecting it. She is strong and capable of doing so, if only her mother would allow it. The young prince loves books. He could climb a tree and read from dusk till dawn, getting completely lost in the world enclosed in the pages. He wanted to be as free as birds, as confident as mountains, as sweet as magical fruit, and as pretty as fairies, but he was never allowed to dream for that long as his mother would drag him from the clouds and him to a strong fighter and leader. The King, I have neutral feelings towards, even though he's a big push over. The Queen doesn't like me, nor do I like her. She was very hostile to me and my parents when we visited and even more so to her children, never attempting to hide it. She treats her family like dogs, choking them on her leash and putting muzzles on their mouths.
