The lights flashed as a Slytherin and Ravenclaw took control of the music. The common room and halls were packed with different students all around.

Jo stood beside Draco as she took a sip from her drink. She eyed everyone in the crowd she could possibly see, although all she felt was a sweaty mess coming from everyone.
She had taken a few shots and ones Carina had made for her since they were extremely strong she rarely needed a lot to be feeling something.
She hadn't seen Fred or any of the Weasleys.

"Why aren't you mingling around?" Draco spoke pulling her out of her daze.

She frowned before letting out a chuckle, "Mingling? What does that even mean?"

Draco sighed at Jo, she smiled seeing his serious face as usual. "I just mean— you are usually the one to be dancing and speaking to others during parties." He shrugged, "What's up with you?"

Jo tilted her head in confusion, she didn't notice how very observant her friends were, "I'm fine. This is my mingling for the night." She grinned as she motioned to her drink.

"Yeah no." He faked a smile as he took a hold of her drink placing his palm on top as a lid and pulled her towards the crowd while she groaned. "We won today and you need to celebrate."

"When you celebrate, I will." She said.

"I have." He stopped moving as he turned to her, "It's your turn, now stop whining." Her shoulders dropped in annoyance, but she knew he was only trying to help.

She turned her head to where Draco had brought her but her eyes immediately shifted to the red head she spotted above. He was laughing hysterically and chugging the cups in his hands. Merlin she hated it, she hated how she immediately was so caught up on him. In any room she always spotted him, she hated it.

"What are you-" Darco asked as he followed her eyes spotting the familiar red head—he sighed finally acknowledging her cause of behavior, "Oh no. Is there something going on between you two?" He asked but Jo didn't say anything. "Besides his extremely drunk self." He spoke regarding towards Fred.
Who knew what drink he was on— all that was known was that since he had gotten to the party he started to drink. His face was red and his eyes were widen, Jo chose to act as if she didn't care as he does for her.
"Did he do something to you?" Draco spoke acknowledging her silence, "I'll hex right now so that's the last thing he'll be able to drink ever."

"What? No Draco!" She yelled in a whisper stopping him in his movement. "I'm fine, and nothing is going on." She said ignoring his eye contact and pushing past him to the drinking table. She downed a shot and made herself another drink, "Well come on, let's mingle."

The night progressed as Jo and Draco indulged in each other's presence. Jo laughed at how Draco was such a lightweight with alcohol it was hilarious, especially his dance moves.
They had tried to find the others but they were all occupied. Arlo and Nell finally allowing themselves to melt within one another as they kissed deeply on the coach and Carina dancing with Tanya.
Draco was the person, friend, she needed right at this moment.

She hadn't enjoyed a party like this in a while, since Luke. She sighed shaking her head as her mind started to fill with thoughts of that mad man.

"Jo," She heard Draco's voice, feeling his hand on her shoulder she looked up to him, "Are you okay?" He sighed leading her to the drinks table.

She nodded running her hand threw her straight hair as she tried to stop her mind from wandering.

"Here,"Draco yelled out with the blasting music, he passed her an open water bottle, "Drink it."
She rolled her eyes— she wasn't drunk, more so tipsy but not where she had no clue where she was.
