Chapter 1

The sunset was so beautiful today . I mean it wasn't everyday that you could see something as beautiful and natural as it on my side of town . The yards were filled with unnecessary junk . The streets were always just as cluttered . The old run down houses with rusty ancient cars parked in the front yard . So for me to see something so amazing , it was everything to me . Now don't get me wrong my neighborhood wasn't all bad . We also had some of the most down to earth people . Like Mrs. Pearl that lady had a smile that could brighten the whole hood . She was the candy lady . Everybody knew her and loved her. In my neighborhood we had bad times and good but we all were a family . A family that just wanted the better things in life . We were hard working honest people. We stayed in our lanes and tried to focus on our own blessings . Nobody ever gave us nothing , we worked for it . Taylor ! Taylor ! I know you hear me calling you my mom screamed . I got up and sighed so much for the peace and quiet . Yes mama what is it ? When I call you , you answer me the first time you hear ? I wanted so bad to roll my eyes , but I held out and just replied yes ma'am . Now I called you in here to tell you we going school shopping tomorrow . Shopping ? That's a word all girls get excited about . I loved getting new things . It wasn't often but when I did I was grateful . I wasn't so happy about school though . I changed schools every two years seemed like , being the new girl sucked ass . You had to make new friends and nobody ever really likes the new girl who stays to herself . Everybody takes your quietness for being stuck up . But that was just me I was a free spirited person who just got along with everyone . I was usually the one who had her head in her phone to not appear so lonely . But this year was going to be different hopefully . I was a smart girl , I always managed to keep good grades . Overal I was a good girl . All the dudes left me alone because they knew I wasn't having any of there bullshit . I wanted a nice good fearing man . He had to be smart with a nice personality . But now a days that seemed like way too much to ask for .
