Chapter 3

         The two buddies gathered at Mika's room,their usual meeting place,ready to immerse themselves in their shared love for video games,specifically fighting games. For each match they've played,Mika always emerged victorious. With an arrogant yet playful smile and a mischievous glint in her eyes,she claims that her superiority in video games come from her seemingly endless free time.
            They both enjoyed their time together,but out of the blue,Niko decided to walk away from the room,when Mika asked him where he was going ,he replied that he wants to go outside and breath some fresh air. Mika,being the stealthy cat that she is,silently followed him until she discovered him standing next to a tree,holding a cigarette in his mouth and tears streaming down his face as he wept in silence.
         "Why are you smoking? You know it's unhealthy,right?" Mika asked in a confused yet concerned tone.He paused for a moment,taking a new drag of his cigarette before responding
"Glad to see you worried about me. I know this is weird,but can I ask you something? How do you feel about me? Or rather,what am I to you?"

     Caught off guard by the question,she hesitated before replying. "Well,you're not just my friend,you're like a brother,someone I really care about." Then,he responded with a contemplative "Huh,so this is how it is."
      After a brief pause,he mustered the courage to reveal his secret. "I have something to confess. Remember when I told you that I have a lot of secrets? Well,you see that necklace that you're always wearing ? You seem to treasure it even though you don't know where did get it from,or rather,you don't remember. "
"Huh? How do you know this?" She asked looking confused. "That's because I gave it to you years ago,as a proof of our deep friendship whenwe were just kids. But you can't remember it because... Well,you have to ask Nicholas about this."
       Mika looks puzzled as ever and returned home to look for answers from her brother. Niko said his Farwell before disappearing in the darkness of the night and the sinister silence of the forest.
