Matoi Residence, 20XX, 1313
Looking up into the rain Ryuko stabs her scissor blade into the ground of the burnt up ruins of her old home.
"I'm sorry father." She says looking down at the floor. "Just when I had a clue to your killer's identity in reach I..."
She choked on her own tears before she could complete her own sentence.
"If only I had more power." She wished remembering the events earlier that day.
She stands in silence for a couple second, and almost as if the house had heard her the trapdoor she had unknowingly been standing on the whole time finally opened.
'What the?' She thinks before she starts tumbling down.
Desperately she tries everything to stop herself from continuing down the tunnel but her attempts did nothing but slow her down and she dropped down the bottom with a large thud. Running her hand over the cold steel ground she grabs her bearings as she looks around.
The room was spacious and was lined with only cold brick wall with a cold steel floor. The lights dimly lit the room and buzzed with an oppressively loud hum. Opposite of her side of the room was a steel bulkhead like door.
'I had no idea something like this was under the house.' She thinks as she picks herself back up. 'What is this place?'
She's pulled out of her thoughts by a sharp burning pain in her left arm.
'I reopened that wound from earlier huh.' She thinks as she looks down at her arm 'Guess I'd better look for a way out.'
She stands up and walks through the room to the door she felt extremely uneasy. Despite the wear and tear of the place she was able to see that it was in far too good of a condition to simply be an abandoned ruin. The walls were free from vegetation, the floors were far too clean, and the entire place just felt off to her.
'Something was here' She thinks as she stands in front of the door.
She looks back at the trail of blood she left throughout the whole room before looking back to the door. The door was large and was at least 5 inches of cold hard steel. It had the text "R&C1" on it with faded black letters. Twisting the valve and pulling back the heavy door opened to reveal a dimly lit hallway. Stepping in she continued deeper into the basement.
Cold steel walls and dim humming lights was her only company on her trot through the dark hallway. It went right, then left, and then right again. It felt like a maze rather than a real hallway, but eventually there was a destination; A small room, the room was similar to the one she started out in, however it was slightly smaller and instead of just dead space had rows of clothing all piled up in heaps.
'What was going on down here?' She thinks as she inspects the piles of strewn about clothing.
The blood from her still bleeding arm dripped onto the floor, and stained some of the clothing the same blood red.
Looking back up she starts to continue down the hallway, but in her peripherals she sees the pile of clothing move and she looks back.
"Wait, Give me more!" A voice shouts desperately from the pile.
"Who's there?" Ryuko asks readying her scissor blade.
Without any warning something burst out of the piles of clothing and without thinking she slashes the air in front of her. The dust settles and she's pushed up against a wall and she finally gets a good look at her assailant.
