Neissa couldn't help the stream of tears flooding her eyes and cheeks as she watched over her 1-month-old son, Axton, sleeping peacefully.

All she could think when looking at her baby was him, it pained her. Her baby had the face exactly like his dads, and the forced memory rushing her already clogged brain didn't help.

She tried doing things that used to be therapeutic to her around the house like cleaning, lighting up incent, cooking, whatever it takes for her to get through her day and put a smile on her face for her child. However, she refused to go to therapy.

Things were rocky everywhere around town because of her baby daddy, her soon to be husbands' absence.

She stared at the promise ring she kept on her finger, never taking it off no matter what she was doing, that was in need of desperate cleaning and maintenance. Her pinky finger was starting to turn purple.

She blamed not taking the ring off because it was the wrong fit, her hands got chubbier and her gained weight made it hard for her to do so, but that was not the full case at all, and she knew it.

She knew she couldn't stop thinking of him, couldn't stop thinking of Damien. She remembers the night like it just happened a couple seconds ago, him kissing her pinky, vowing to her that the next ring will be on her ring finger, before showering her in all his love, marking on her skin, showing complete devotion to her that night.

No matter how many times she tried to brush it aside like his disappearance didn't affect her, she knows she's lying and her now routinely break downs proves it.

"Mommy loves you so much baby, this won't last forever, I promise that... There has to be rain for the rainbows to come out, there has to."

She whispers to Axton, staring at her creation, their creation.

It struck her knowing that it was all her fault and she had no one to blame but herself. She knew what Damien did for a living, she knew what the consequences with would be loving him, and she's facing them right now.

"Was it worth it?" She questions her choices every single day, falling in love with him and bringing in an innocent soul in such a cruel world.

Little did she know, it was.
