Chapter 19

The day that Freya and Jasper have been waiting for has finally arrived. The baby's due date! Sam has assigned Jared to watch over Freya at home for the past three days as added protection. It's been a whole week since her movie date with Jasper, Jacob's shifting, and the second ultrasound. With the stress still causing problems for Freya since the incident, she didn't feel up for a gender reveal or baby shower party. Everyone understood, she was still trying to remain calm with everything, but the one who had a hard time accepting was Alice. She was excited to find Freya pregnant again, even though she was the last one to know since the wolves were around and caused her visions to go blurry. Freya was concentrating on her next story chapter with her phone off. For two days, Alice bothered her with constant begging and pleading for a party, only to get her face smacked to have her attention. Freya had to tell her sister-in-law off, that with all the stress Alice was causing and her book was all she wanted to focus on, she wasn't in the mood, she didn't want a party. Planning to apologize in the future, Freya was thankful that Ethan came to his mates rescue and distracted her with a date.

Now that Freya could think straight, she realized it wasn't just the stress from her movie night she had on her plate. It was stress from keeping the supernatural secret from the innocent people, keeping her own family secret from Charlie, and keeping Loki a secret from the population. Pausing her writing, Freya went downstairs to have a drink. Passing by her room, she immediately spotted her special box on the dresser. It's been so long since she's lit one of her spoons.

"Huh. Maybe that's why I feel twitchy lately?" She thought as she poured some apple juice into a glass and drank it.

Thankful that her baby accepted the drink, it was only a matter of time for the hard contractions to start. Checking her messages, she got one from her private number. Reading it, shock filled Freya's entire body. The designer and creater of Wattpad wanted to contact her, meet her. To talk about her book.

The contractions came, and everyone showed support. Jasper never left her side while Freya pushed her baby out. After a nice nap, Freya opens her eyes. Stretching her muscles a bit, she found her favorite hoodie laying next to her. Hating not to put it on yet, Freya couldn't wait to meet her baby. Leaving the hoodie alone for some skin on skin with her baby, the bedroom door opened to reveal Jasper, walk in with a bundle in his arms.

"Hi, how'd you sleep?" He asks softly.

"Wonderful. My back pain is finally gone." Freya answers relieved.

"That's great." Jasper says, also relieved. It was the one pain he couldn't take away from his wife. And it constantly made him feel guilty and sad.

"So, how is our baby?" Freya asks.

"She is sleeping peacefully." Jasper answered, making Freya smile.

"We have another daughter?" Freya asks happily.
