Chapter 21🔞

It's been a quiet week, which is quite rare in our lives. But thank god anyway. Since it was nice out, Sam got with Jasper and I about going cliff diving. Curious, I couldn't wait to try it. After having lunch, Jasper and I changed then dropped the kids off at Emily's before heading out.

"So, you just jump off? That's it?" I ask as we stood next to the cliff.

"Pretty much." Sam answers.

"We're the only ones who get to jump off from this high up. Cause we're awesome." Paul joked before tussling with Embry and Jared.

"That's also cause it's really dangerous. Because of the tide and the weather." Sam adds.

"We'll be fine. I promise. I'll go first and catch you." Jasper says, hugging me from behind.

"Okay. Let's do it." I reply. "Wait, don't you guys have patrol?"

"Not really. Ever since your phone call, there have been no sightings or scent of the redhead. But if something does go wrong, we will have to leave." Sam says.

Nodding, Jared and Paul went first, then Embry and Jacob. But he got teased about texting Jessica before hand. Shaking his head, he happily jumped. Jasper jumps before me, as I stood at the edge looking down.

"You do this all the time, right?" I ask.

"Yes. I promise, it's perfectly fine." Sam answers.

"Sorry, I guess ever since Bella found out about Jasper, the kids and then Victoria calls. I'm a bit stressed out. I can't even copy my story onto Wattpad." I said.

"No one blames you, Freya. She shouldn't have even tried to get to your kids. That's why we are all thankful that you got Jacob's head out of her ass." Sam replies, which made me laugh.

And he was right. Thanks to me, Jacob found his imprint. And thanks to Jessica, he doesn't even talk to Bella anymore. But, that doesn't stop her from repeatedly calling the rest of us, but we just ignore her.

Taking a breath, I got a running start then jumped off the cliff. Hitting the water, I opened my eyes and found Jasper waiting for me underwater. He takes my hand in his as he walked us to the shore. Reaching shallow water, I couldn't help but laugh at how fun that was. Wanting to do it again, Jasper and I reached the beach to find the pack looking alert.
