We will talk about the rulers of the Achaemenid Empire, the largest empire in the world, which came out of a state administration under the Med Kingdom, which is thought to be the ancestor of the Kurdish nation.

In the History of Herodotus, Cyrus was the son of Mandana, the daughter of Astyages, King of Med, and Kambyses, King of Anshan. His grandfather was King Cyrus I of Anshan and his father Teispes' father was Acheamenes. As expected, the person who gave the name to the empire is the great grandfather Acheamenes.

Teispes captured Anshan from the vassal state under the Neo-Assyrian Empire, creating a kingdom. Thanks to the marriage of Cyrus' father, Kambyses I, with the Kingdom of Medes, the Persians were also entitled to the Kingdom of Medes.

The mother of Medli Mandana was the Lydian Princess Aryenis, who was the sister of the Lydian King Kroisos. With the ties coming from this marriage, Cyrus seized the Lydian Kingdom and made King Kroisos, his grandmother's brother, his advisor.
