Winter blinks in confusion when Karina appears at her door, flowers in her hands and looking very nervous. And that wasn't an emotion that Winter saw Karina express often. Maybe even never.

"Hi," Winter breathes out.

"Kim Minjeong," Karina starts off, letting out a breath that sounded like she had been holding it in for a while. "Let's go on our first date. Tonight. Right now."

Winter's mouth dropped slightly, then it slowly spread into a smile. "Aren't you supposed to ask me?"

"I don't ask for things I want, Minjeong."

Rolling her eyes, Winter grasps Karina's shirt, pulling her into her house. "You're not much of a romantic, are you?"

Scoffing, Karina hands Winter the bouquet of flowers. The younger woman smiles into the red petals of the roses, taking a whiff of the comforting scent.

"I can be romantic, just not... what you call, traditional." Karina defends.

Winter hums, "well, I guess you'll have to prove just how romantic you can be on this date then."

Karina dips her chin, lips rising to a subtle, but sweet smile.

"I wish you would've given me a heads up, Jimin. It'll take me a while to get ready." Winter pouts, taking Karina's hand and leading her into the living room.

"I'll be glad to wait."

Karina wasn't a very patient person, until it involved Winter, and something so small, like patience, made her feel all gooey inside knowing Karina wouldn't do it for anyone else.

Winter's heart flutters, and she bites her bottom lip, "okay."

Karina tilts her head, her lips tugging into a smile when Winter makes no move to go upstairs to start getting ready. The younger woman just simply stares at her, and Karina's eyes zone in on the way Winter's bottom lip is still between her teeth.

"Stop that. Or I'll kiss you."

Winter's eyes snap up to meet hazel eyes. "That doesn't sound like a bad idea."

Rolling her eyes, Karina flicks her best friend's forehead. "Go and get ready, Minjeong."

Groaning, Winter huffs. "Fine. Mom and Dad are still in Europe till Sunday, and Taeyeon is out with Baekhyun, so... make yourself comfortable." She tells Karina before rushing up the steps to her bedroom.

It's not like Karina's never been here before, so it was easy for her to feel comfortable. They spend most of their time at the Yu residence as it was less empty than it was in Winter's home. It didn't seem like Winter liked staying at home when she always seemed lonely with the house being empty all the time.

Karina managed to keep herself busy with her phone, then the television, even going as far as taking one of the photo albums out from one of the shelves. She didn't bother suppressing her laughs when baby pictures of Winter came up.

Two and a half hours have passed by, and Karina started to get antsy. She turned and looked up the stairs, sighing when there was no sight of Winter yet. She stands onto her feet, making her way up the steps to check on her date.

Karina knocks on Winter's bedroom door, opening it when a faint voice tells her to come in. She walks in to see Winter sitting in front of her vanity mirror, makeup spread all over her table. Their eyes meet in the mirror, and Karina can't help the smile that spreads on her face.
