Glimpse of the Past

PROLOGUE

I am Zae,the girl who's hopeless romantic na nagpakatanga sa pag ibig.

One boy changed the chapter of my life,he changed me in a good way,and helped me realize how much i am worth.

But sadly im not the leading lady of his story,im only the side character who helped him to meet his love,in short I'm just the brigde of their love.

I received an email from him,saying im invited to his wedding.

Great.Im happy for him but there's this feeling that made me want to say to him na "bakit hindi nalang ako?
Am i just the second option?"

Few days had passed I haven't decided yet if i should go.it just hurt seeing him happy,but i need to decide.

Stefhanie came to visit me and begged to go to her wedding and needed an answer immediately,so I just said yes, she's still my bestfriend anyway.

I went to bed,stefphanie already had left,i lay there feeling dazed thinking how did i end up in this situation.

At the day of the wedding day,i dressed myself and went to the church.There i saw him.

Hendrick greated me."How are you?"

I smiled and look at him."ofcourse im fine."

He then smiled to me and walked away.

The ceremony started , and here I am watching them get married to each other,watching my childhood love and bestfriend getting married to each other.

"You may kiss the bride,you are now husband and wife."

I couldn't take it anymore,and just made my way to the back exit and left with tears on my eyes.

Pumara nako ng taxi. I decided to go to our old house which is kung san kami nagkakilala,funny right?

"Laguna lang po kuya".

I arrived to an old house and hurriedly went to my favorite spot,the balcony and cried my heart out.

Suddenly i remembered my past, everything flash before my eyes.

-"I finally understood that true love isn't always about being together; sometimes, it's about letting go."
