Glimpse of the Past

CHAPTER 3

She liked him.

I should be happy for them,but i wasn't.

I walked to school and tried avoiding Hendrick but he was everywhere.

Stefhanie tried talking to me,"you like him too?"

I smiled and answer "no,i don't like him"

"Then,can i have him?"she asked with a very sweet tone.

"Yes."what can i do we have to label so i said yes and besides they both look good together, Stefhanie was pretty,and Hendrick was caring.

To distract my self from all this drama,i focused my self from studying.

As i was in the library,i saw Hendrick was there to.He came up to me and asked,"are you avoiding me?"

"Look,Stefhanie likes you"

"Then?"

"What do you mean then,its obvious I can't be seen with you!"

"What if i tell you i like you,would that stop her?"he said with a very serious tone.

I was speechless,i don't know what to say,i just left stunned.I went back to the classroom and saw Stefhanie smiling.

"Thats a big smile!"

"I found his Facebook!"

"Who?"

"Hendrick duh!"

"Oh,okay so whats up"

"So i sent him a friend request and he accepted!!"

"Good for you!"i said with an exaggerating laugh.

Just then our professor came,just with the exact same boring lesson.

When the bell ranged i hurriedly went outside and started walking,and i noticed someone following me,i turned around and saw Hendrick,what a creep.

"What are you doing?"

"Obviously I'm walking"

I rolled my eyes and just continued walking.

I arrived at home and opened my Facebook account and saw an anonymous message from someone,i viewed it a read the message,"hi gorgeous",i actually laughed on how cringe this was.

I just ignore it and continued scrolling through Facebook until i saw Stefhanie's post.

It was a stolen picture of Hendrick and had a caption "admiring him".
But she didn't tag him.

The next day,i tried avoiding Hendrick but he was everywhere,he's so annoying.

I search Hendrick's account on Facebook and stalk a bit of his post,only one post got my attention

It was captioned "🕰️👶" meaningly it was his baby picture and it looks familiar because of the background of his picture,i scrolled more and found him and a girl playing together happily.

My jaw dropped that it was a picture of him and me!,it was him.I putted my phone down and went to bed still thinking what had i just saw.

Morning came and i was getting ready to walk to school when suddenly Stefhanie came to walk with me,i guess she wanna see Hendrick.

"Gusto mo syang makita no?"pangiti kung sabi.

"Medjo!"

"Iba nayan ah!"

Our conversation went on until we arrived to school our houses is just 10 blocks.I was silent and my head was full of unwanted thoughts.

I couldn't focus through the lessons,how was i gonna tell Stefhanie that it was him.The bell rang and we headed to the canteen to get some snacks,i told Stefhanie that i'll find us a table.

I was walking and about to turn around but suddenly Hendrick blocked me.

"Are you trying to avoid me?"

"Are you that desperate?"

"Look,i like you."

"Stop playing and stay away from me,my bestfriend likes you."i shoved him away,looking at his brown eyes he looked genuine about what he just said.

"What was that?"

"It was nothing,he was just annoying me again"

"Oh okay,lets eat."

He liked me?,damn that boy is really something else,well its him anyways,but I can't Stefhanie likes him.

All these thoughts run through my head,i could even focus on studying i already failed 2 subjects.
