Chapter 3

Sami's POV

"Yesterday's night was like a nightmare to me. I couldn't stop thinking about that, according to the legend something bad happens to people who heard his voice. I could clearly remember that I did and we all did.
"Hell..", is what she said , probably wanting to say hello, her voice was terrifying and muffled. You guys must be hearing it in the video.."
Suddenly I flinched and quickly turned off the recorder.

" Hey Sami, Daniel is here", my mother said, she was wearing a rob and had had her face masks on. I have never seen her taking so much self care and moreover, she is a grumpy lady and seeing her happy nowadays shocks me as well as pleasure.

" Heyyy!!! What's up!"

" Umm..nothing just thinking about yesterday", I said, passing a faint smile.

" Did you upload yesterday's recording"

" Not yet, will do it"

" Show me the recordings'' , he said. I grabbed my camera and started the video which I recorded yesterday.
My heart skipped a beat.

" Daniel!! Hey!! Look! Blood!", I suddenly screamed and jolted him and gave him the recorder. It was true whatever I saw was true! There was real blood on the floor.

" What are you talking about? I couldn't see any blood." He said pointing towards the spot where I could still see the blood.

" What are you talking about! Can't you see there is blood!! Why are you guys lying!", I cried, a strange fear engulfed me.

" Are you still hallucinating? Sami.."

" But..", I looked at him, I could form any words.

"Am I really hallucinating?..but me? Why am I the only one seeing things?", I thought as I looked at him. He gave an assuring smile as if he could read my mind.

" You must be hallucinating and it's normal to have that. I checked the video, the voice is not clear.. It sounded static. But still let me post this and also we going to record anything we find abnormal for the next few day" , he said while using my computer.

" You are right..", I said, letting out a deep sigh. " It could be my hallucination , since I haven't slept after that day.

" If you want, just take a nap for sometime, you will feel good, I will go when you wake up"
I nodded my head giving him a faint smile and went to my bed. My eyes got heavy and I didn't even realize when I drifted to sleep...

A strange sound I could hear..but where am I? It was a room lit with a few candles, scriptures were hung from the walls surrounded by bamboo and rattles, I looked around when I heard a sharp scream. I flinched back and saw a man dragging a girl by her long hair, her kimono was drenched with blood which was oozing out of her eyes which was heavily injured.

" Shujin!!.. Listen to me...",

" You cursed shaman!...You murderer! I should have killed you after you gave birth to our son!", the man snapped and pushed her away.

" I did all these for you...", tears rolled down her eyes.
I stood there aghast watching them as they slowly faded away in front of my eyes.

" Hey!.. wake up!! Sami!! Wake.. up..",

A faint voice crept in my ears. I jolted up and hastily woke up and saw Daniel sitting beside me. I let out a deep sigh.

" Why.." I fumbled under my breath.

" What happened, are you okay??"he said, holding my shoulder looking in my eyes.

" Nothing... I.. I just overslept", I said, rubbing my eyes looking away from him.

" It's okay.. I hope you feel better", he said when the door opened.

" Sami! Rachel came to meet you", my mom said. As soon as she went away, Rachel came huffing.

" What happened? You don't look good",I asked her as I saw her panting.

" Nina.. Nina and Dave... they are missing!!"

" What!", I jumped off the bed and went near her.

" What are you saying!! How did you know they are missing??", I asked her.

" They were missing since last night. Their parents were not there at home. When they reached home in the morning they couldn't find them. We searched everywhere, they were not in college either. I tried calling them several times. Tomorrow cops will be searching for them.

" How about we go to their houses and check for some clues!" , Daniel said

" What we gonna find in their house?", I asked

" What if.. they.... just disappeared...", he whispered, staring at the clock. We sat aghast, staring at each other, all we could think was that it was really happening in reality..

" No... Don't say that...", tears dropped from her eyes.

" We should go there", I said and we all sat in my car.

We went to Nina's house and saw her parents mourning and screaming on the phone asking for help and looking for their daughter.

" Remember the post? All the people who heard the voice would disappear.. I don't doubt this. They must have disappeared from their house" , Daniel said.

" So it means...", Rachel said, looking at us with her intense green eyes.

" There is no point in going there..", I said.
" I have some cameras, we can fix it in our rooms to record everything that happens.."
