Chapter 7

Unknown's POV 

She is a short girl  wearing a highschool uniform , had long black hair tied in two braids and doe eyes but it was weird to see one of her eyes were covered with bandages as if she was brutally injured there. She was sitting right opposite to me and stared at me. I had no courage to say anything to her , not even her name. I stared back at her dark eyes which were changing as the time passed into a more like a glare.  

" Woman in black, heard about her?", she asked.

" I saw a woman…in a black wedding dress,..her face was covered with a black veil.. she was there in one of the rooms..sitting on the chair..", I said and saw her countenance turning more grave.  

" Her name is Esther. She had a sad past, she was said to be one of the ugliest girls of the town. Her father, being the mayor of the town, asked all the men of the town to see her. None of them liked her, rather they lambasted her. Her father started hating her since she was a burden to their family. The worst out of all is that she had a step sister of her age who was born by the mayor's illegitimate affair. Esther didn't know about her father's affair and she was unknown about how her mother died until the woman her father secretly seeing herself revealed it. Her name was Josephine, she revealed that she and the mayor made a plan to kill her mother by burning her alive. She revealed how the mayor made her a silver ring which had the ashes of her mother stacked inside it. She also said how her mother was not the only victim to the mayor and their ashes were stacked inside silver jewels and rings. Esther was shocked, she could barely believe Josephine. Later they got to know that whatever she said was true and the mayor was executed. New mayor was chosen by the town. His name was William who was a young man, he was known for his good looks and had many suitors who tried to pursue him. Both Esther and her step sister Marie fell in love with him. However Esther was not happy with it, Marie was one of the most beautiful ladies of the town , there was no one who did not know about her beauty and Esther was considered as the total opposite of her. Her fear came true, William proposed to Marie. Esther went and confronted them and she confessed her feelings for him but that was one of the worst mistakes as William humiliated her by chastising her. She was dragged to the public hall where he insulted by saying no human could be this ugly and soon she was slowly regarded as " town witch". She was isolated in her house. The only person she used to see was her sister who used to visit her reassuring her that she was trying her best to pursue her husband to not to treat her like that. Esther realized that the frequent visiting of her sister was nothing but an indirect humiliation to her, so she started hating her sister. One day she was sitting on her chair like other days, however she was wearing all the silver rings and jewels which belonged to Josephine. Her sister visited her and as soon as she went near her  Esther stabbed her with a knife. It was said that she stabbed her twenty two times. She then took the body and removed all its organs and wore the skin of Marie and stitched it. She secretly practiced human taxidermy and killed a lot of people and buried their organs down inside her basement. She disguised as Marie and wore a black wedding dress covering her face with a long black veil and escaped the town. She already hired a few men to kill the mayor so that he wouldn't search for her while she escapes. She traveled to a lot of places and finally came to Japan and took shelter in this house. However the feeling of guilt killed her from inside, she couldn't find the reason why she killed her sister who was being good to her. She was feeling guilty of killing the love of her life even though he humiliated her, she still loved him.  Finally she took her life inside this house. Her spirit still wanders here waiting for her sister to come and visit her so that she can apologize to her for all her deeds..." 

" What…", I whispered, looking astonished as I heard her terrific past. 

" And.. why did she wear a wedding gown?"Dave asked who was sounding equally astonished and scared as me.
