The Drama Is Out

Chapter - 2

Jeonghan and Seungcheol could hear two people chatting with each other as they walked past the manager's cabin.

The manager questioned, "Are you sure you want them to be in it?" Seungcheol held Jeonghan aback from knocking on the door after hearing what the manager stated.

Jeonghan was looking up at Seungcheol. "What?" He queried. Jeonghan had no idea what was going on, but he chose to follow Seungcheol's instructions and stay silent as the older man put his finger to the younger man's lips asking him to be quiet.

"They can fit in this nicely," a female voice said, adding, "Yes, I'm pretty sure about that." The manager began to speak, "But if-," but was cut off by the woman, who chanted, "Lee Sook-Shii, no buts, and ifs." Just consider how beneficial it would be if they agreed to this: for their band as well as for me."

The manager's sigh could be heard by the two.Jeonghan remarked, "Cheol, they didn't call us to overhear their discussion; they called us to meet and talk to them."

Seungcheol said, "Han, they're definitely referencing us"."Yes, I am aware of it, but why are you so surprised? Let's go talk to them about it," Jeonghan remarked.

Seungcheol remarked quietly, "I don't know, but I have a strange feeling about it," to which Jeonghan just smiled and replied, "Cheol-ah, let's go inside and talk to them, okay? When that happens, we will know what is going on, and that is why they called us, right?"

Upon hearing that, Seungcheol smiled and nodded.

When Jeonghan knocked on the door, the manager said, "Come in."The two bowed to the woman and the manger as they entered the room.

The woman appeared to be close to 30 years old.She had black hair the colour of ravens that reached her shoulders, or perhaps it was the clothing she was wearing that gave her a younger-looking appearance.

The manager motioned to the chairs in front of them on the other side of the table and said, "Have a seat both of you."They sat down after responding to directions.

The woman, who was mesmerised by the boys' good features, exclaimed with a smile, "Look at them, they look perfect." The two of them were more confused as a result.Their look showed that they were puzzled

When the boss noticed this, he threw a fit and remarked, "Am pretty sure you must be having no idea why I called you here right?"The lads just responded "yes" by nodding.

"Don't worry, the matter is that-"Once more, the lady cut him off before he could finish by asking, "Jeonghan shii, can you hold Seungcheol's hand?" Jeonghan gave her a bewildered expression before turning to the manager and giving him a "what's going on look."

Nevertheless, she continued, "Don't worry Jeonghan-shii, just hold his hands," before the manager could respond.He was left with no choice but to grasp his closest friend's hand. Even though Seungcheol didn't understand what was happening, he replied to Jeonghan by entwining their fingers.Since they were familiar to holding hands and cuddling eachother, it was never uncomfortable for them.

The lady said quite joyfully to the manager, "Oh look, they are perfect together."

"I apologise for interrupting, but may I ask what's going on and why you called us here? Why don't we get to the topic right away?" As Seungcheol's tolerance was fading away, he asked.

The woman remarked, a little embarrassed, "Oh, am very sorry, I didn't even introduce myself to you both."She smiled and extended out her hand to shake theirs. They did the same. "Well, I am Kim Jae Ri from AD entertainment," she added.

"Kim Jae Ri? " Jeonghan enquired, "As in the Kim Jae Ri who directed the dramas' Run to you ' and' When they met'?" Jae Ri nodded while grinning.

Seungcheol responded in a somewhat astonished tone, "Don't tell me you want us to act, Jae Ri-shii," after connecting all the dots between what had occurred and the talk they had overheard.

Jae Ri grinned and said, "Well, that's great to hear. I won't need to explain everything to you."

Looking at the boys, Jae Ri stated, "Jeonghan-shi, Seungcheol-shi, I am willing to cast you both in a Drama, a BL drama."

The boys stared at her with their mouths open, unable to figure out whether it was a joke. Jae Ri gave them an honest look and added, "No boys, it's not a prank, i'm sincerely willing you two to act in my drama."

The males raised themselves several questions, including: Why us? Why not another SVT participant? Or why not any qualified performer from their show?

"Are you sure you want us, or maybe you're wrong since we are idols and all we do is sing, dance, and perform", Jeonghan asked after clearing his throat.

Seungcheol agreed with Jeonghan and stated, "Yes Jae Ri- shii, why are you willing us to take part in the drama when there are many much more capable actors to act?"

"There are certainly many eligible actors to act, but there aren't many eligible duos of actors who can perfectly fit together and act."

"We require a pair, as in a great duo." "And you two are perfect as a duo together," Jae Ri responded."You look wonderful together and are completely unaware of it."

"Because you're not even aware that you're still holding your hands," joked Jae RI, glancing at their connected hands.

The two boys parted their hands instantly after hearing that, their faces flushed, creating a snicker from Jae Ri and the manager.

"And this is what I want, we need someone who acts naturally, not someone who is acting for the sake of acting because it is a BL drama," Jae Ri stated, "And don't worry about acting, I choose my actors after looking at all of their information and abilities." After seeing your advertising, music videos, and photoshoots, I am confident that you two can play the part together."

"And I've heard you guys are best friends, so it won't be awkward within you boys," Jae Ri added.

This was the cause.The freaking reason they weren't sure about acting in a BL drama.When she began to present herself as a director and urged them to cast in a drama, especially a BL drama, as the main protagonists, both their stomachs churned and their hearts raced quicker.

Jeonghan was well aware that they understood how to act because he majored in commercials and Seungcheol also had acting experience.But he had a strange sensation that if he accepted to perform as Seungcheol's partner, things would go wrong.

Jeonghan was aware that he liked Seungcheol way too much at times, leading him to believe that he had feelings for that boy, something he was afraid of. He was scared since he knew Seungcheol had a brotherly affection for him.

Jeonghan used to blame his emotions on his hormones.

Thinking it's simply a hormone issue, and that hormonal stress is causing him to think so.Right?

"Boys, if you act in this drama, your boyband will be more recognised." "You can make yourself and your company known all over the world because LGBTQ rights and needs are spreading rapidly," Jae Ri added. "Consider the profit you will make, not only for yourself, but also for me."

"Jae Ri - shii, I guess this is way too much for the boys to digest now," the manager cleared his throat. Jeonghan and Seungcheol agreed with a nod.

"Oh, alright, I'll stop here, but please think about it and the profit we can make from the project and respond as soon as possible, okay?" asked Jae Ri.

"Yes, boys, think about it and let me know so we can figure out what to do next, as you both have band-related activities. I have notified the management about this project."said the manager.

Jeonghan was going to object with the idea of their acting since he knew Seungcheol would not want to act as a couple with him for obvious reasons, but Seungcheol interrupted him before he could say anything.

Looking at them, he said"Yes, we will discuss it and get back to you as soon as possible.""Right?" he questioned, looking at Jeonghan. To this Jeonghan could only respond, "OK."
