Jon Arryn had died. It was a sudden death, as he was old but healthy. And oh gods, how the seven kingdoms weren't prepared for it.
His daughter wanted her son, whom he had unofficially named the heir, to be the lord of the Vale instead of her younger half-brother. Ned Stark's second son was kidnapped by wildlings in his way to White Harbor. And in King's Landing not even the gods knew what was truly happening within its walls.
None would think that the death of an old man would be the catalyst to the end of a fake peace. Or better, to the beginning of an ancient and awaited song. Now though, it's first verses were only heard in whispers.
