Total darkness and almost complete silence aside from the sound of the waves hitting against the rocks in the distance. A bedroom lit up by only the light of the moon as two women laid sleeping covered by a fur blanket, the covers of the bed and wrapped in each others arms. The darker haired women opened her eyes, rubbing them softly with her hands before gently removing her wife's arm from up her tank top and getting up quietly from the bed. The still sleeping blonde adjusted her position but didn't wake up. The darker haired woman walked into the bathroom and looked in the mirror at herself, sighing gently as she looked herself in the eyes, was her next move going to finally allow her marriage to continue in peace. After washing up, the woman walked to her wardrobe and opened the doors of it to grab a pair of shoes and a jacket then to the other wardrobe so she could steal a pair of her wife's jeans and a belt. After she dressed, she walked over to one of the desks and grabbed a loaded pistol from the bottom drawer, tucking it in the back of her jeans and covering it with the back of her jacket. She placed a gentle kiss on her wife's cheek before beginning to make her way out. As the dark haired woman walked through the hallway, her footsteps echoed off the walls. Her boots tapped off the stairs as she descended them and upon reaching the bottom, the dark woman looked down the dark hall that led into the kitchen. But she didn't go in. She was just taking one last look, in case she would never see this life again. A firm believer that every day could be her last, that fate was always looming. Fate brought her and her wife together, but fate could also take them from each other. The woman took a deep breath before placing a note on the counter closest to the door. With nothing left but what comes next, the dark haired woman exited her home and looked up into the night sky for a moment before beginning to make her way to her car. As she walked down the path, two figures emerged from the shadows behind her and followed. The woman opened her car door and sat in the driver seat, slightly turning her head to the right as the two shadows entered the car.
"Faye? You ready?" The taller shadow questioned as they loaded the rifle in their hands. The two shadows were assigned to assassinate a target. Faye led the planning and preparation for this operation, under the condition that her wife was never disturbed from her retirement again.
The dark haired woman nodded her head in response, putting her key into the ignition as she muttered "I am. Remind your boss that after this, Me and Cassandra are done. No more appearing at our house late at night. And especially no more job offers. Once this is done, we walk free." She started her car and drove down the driveway, pressing the button to open the gate of her and her wife's mansion.
The taller man dressed in black laughed "The boss always keeps her word, doesn't she?"
Faye tapped her finger on the steering wheel and glared at the man "Yeah, if there's one thing I've loved about these jobs, it's knowing that I can always trust a Martelli."
The shorter, quieter man leaned forward from the back seat "Watch it, bitch."
Faye smirked to herself as she turned the wheel "Ooo. Scary."
The rest of the journey was a long, quiet and intense silence. Faye kept trying to break the silence with sarcasm or a joke, but they just sat silently.
As they pulled up to a building, lights flashing through the windows like there was some sort of rave going on, Club Inferno, or, shit hole, as Cassandra would call it.
Faye walked into the alley, her hand rested on the grip of her handgun. She stopped, both of the men she travelled with stopping with some distance between them and her.
