Ever since the sky never shined so brightly again, people never thought a person could create something unimaginable. Many people lost their purpose, and all they could think of is to survive. No one would appreciate how much you contribute, all what they could care about is to save themselves from the drought.

As someone who's family barely survived, Jisung felt the same. Everyday is like a loop that he needs to suffer endlessly.

"This could be retained if you want to," The dissatisfied principal looked at Jisung, "Summer classes could work, or community service even."

Jisung avoided the principal's eyes and looked the other way. He heard the principal's sigh, and moved his file forward.

"Sorry kid, if you're not going to do anything with your absences, it's all on you." Jisung ignored him and grabbed his file. He walked away and when he opened the door, he saw Jeongin waiting for him.

"Let me guess, you quit?" Jisung just shrugged, not on the mood to answer Jeongin's question.

Jeongin grabbed his file away from him and opened it. He saw him winced and looked at the papers with such remorse. Jeongin closed it before he could continue to the other pages. "I warned you, Aunty will definitely kill you when she see this."

Jisung stopped, "She was the one who told me to quit." Jeongin slowed his pace, showing confusion all over his face.

"What do you mean?"

"I'm going to grandma's house later, are you available?" Jisung asked him. Jeongin slowly realized what he was trying to point out.

"I will wait for you. You could bring the others too but it's on y—" Before Jisung could even continue, Jeongin cuts him out.

"When?" Jeongin never expected that it would happen that early.

"Tomorrow." Jeongin looked at him with such disappointment. He gave Jisung's file back and looked at him.

"You know that this is big, right?" Jeongin looked away at him, "Mom haven't seen her for years, I hope you considered that."

Jisung couldn't find the right words to say back. He knew how much his mother tried to keep it away from them. Jisung felt guilty for not saying it to them, especially Jeongin who's always there with him. But the same time, he can't risk it. All he and his mother want is to keep it, especially he doesn't want to see his grandma to be away like that. Jeongin left him completely after that.

He left school with a lot of things going on his head. Looking back, Jeongin definitely wouldn't talk to him for a while. When he reached his grandmother's house, he saw his mom on the porch. He parked his bike on their lawn and went to her mother.

"Where's Jeongin? I thought he would be here with you?" His mother said. Jisung scratched the back of his hair, and looked at his mother uncomfortably.

"He knew." His mother was surprised to hear that from him. His mother stands up, looked at him for a moment and walked inside the house.

Jisung exhaled, took it all in and followed his mother inside, dismissing what just happened. He didn't come to argue.

When he went inside, he saw grandmother sleeping on the bed. His mother decided to move the bed to the living room so that it would be easier for them to access what was needed.

"Get the box on the table. I found it when I was cleaning her room." His eyes landed immediately on the shiny box.

Jisung admired the box for a minute. He wasn't able to lie about the fact that it's the only thing that is shiny on their house. For a moment he felt a surge of nostalgia while looking at the pictures. He looked at it one by one, and he couldn't help himself to smile while seeing him and Jeongin being carried by their grandmother. He thought it was over but when he reached the last picture, he wondered about what happened to his mom and his aunt, Jeongin's mother.
