— chapter 18 ; harbingers concerns
The girl with the pink streaks in her black hair spoke first, piercing through the eerie silence upon them after you have left the Fatui Harbingers to their own businesses. "I must say, Lord Jester.. I've never seen someone treat you in such a way, and yet, you have let them go despite the fact that this occurrence never transpires." She takes a few steps forward to be right next to the Jester and asked with amusement, with a hint of curiosity, laced in her tone as the Harbingers were facing towards the direction where you left.
"Would you be willing to explain to us why you chose not to take action?" The man next to her does not answer for awhile, thinking carefully for his next words, "She is nothing more but a Ruler who seized every single one of what I had."
Some of the others got irritated at his answer that didn't even answer the question but quieted down when he looks to the side. "She is not someone I would want to be engaging in any kind of way." He says with a gruff voice as he is reminded by some dark memories in the past. "She is merely a waste of my time, whether the outcome is favorable or unfavorable—"
"Quit lying to yourself and us, Jester. We aren't stupid." Scaramouche glares at the older Harbinger and states quickly with no ounce of hesitation; his tone dripping with annoyance. "We both know damn well that you're only half lying." He grew sick of hearing all of his lame justifications of refusing to do any kind of interaction with you. Like, who wouldn't want to talk with you? Not that Scaramouche wants to, though.
Even though it is clear that all of the Fatui Harbingers are hostile toward one another, Scaramouche is the one who is most frequently hostile toward. He always seems to treat people badly, so it wouldn't be shocking if he was despised by every living thing on the universe.
Or, it would be more of a surprise if one were to love him no matter how he appears. But, hey, who would actually adore him, right?
The Jester appears to be unamused of his statement towards him as this always happens whenever they see each other. He turns his body a bit and glares down at the shorter male, "Scaramouche," The purple haired Harbinger grew an irk mark all of a sudden just by hearing his name come out of the older's mouth, but said nothing and only let him continue speaking — which he regretted.
