Luke
I walk to school all alone, as usual. My parents were fighting again and Jack was being a bitch to me. The usual. I walk into school, some people ignored me, some people look and whisper. I'm kind of an outcast.
"Luke!" I turn to see Calum with a worried expression.
"Yeah?"
"You okay?"
"Yeah, I took your advice and for once, it's kind of helping." I say and he smiles.
"So in right for once."
"I never said that."
"Well, well, well. What do we have here?" Casey, my bully, says while walking over to Cal and I.
"Leave him alone Casey." Cal says.
"Aw, you're little boyfriend defending you?" I look down.
"Coach wouldn't be too happy if he found out about you picking of Luke." Calum says. He's captain of the football (soccer) team.
"We both know you're too chicken to get me kicked off." With that, Calum ran off to find his coach and leaving me with Casey. He smirked and punched me. Everyone in the hall cleared out, knowing someone could be next. He continues to ouch and kick me, causing me to have a bloody nose. He picks me up and throws me against the lockers.
"Hey! Leave. Him. Alone." A very unfamiliar voice says.
"Yeah? What are you gonna do about it?" Casey says, walking away from me.
I slowly sit up.
"Hey, you okay?" A soft voice says. I look up and see the most perfect boy ever. He has the most beautiful eyes. He has a couple of scratches and bruises on his gorgeous, pale face
"You okay?" He asks again, more stern. All I do is nod my head. He sits down next to me.
"I'm Michael but you can call me Mike." He says.
"I'm Luke."
"Nice to meet you Luke. Since next is free period for Seniors, would you like to join me for an early lunch?" I look into Michael's eyes to find a bit of hope.
"I'd love to but I might not eat."
"Great but why is that?"
"Anorexic." I say really quiet.
"Oh." Is all he says.
"But I guess I could try to eat since you kind of saved my life." I say and he smiles. Dear Lord that smile is perfect. He helps me up, I limp a lot but he also helps me. We reach his car.
"You know, you're the first person that has stood up for me, let alone has been nice to me. I mean, Calum and I are best friends, I guess, but that's just cause we grew up together." I say.
"I don't believe that."
"Well, it's the truth. My parents ignore me completely and they praise my older brothers."
"Oh, Lukey, I mean Luke, I'm so sorry." Mike says and blushes. I look down at my lap and smile with a small blush.
"S-sorry." He says.
"It's fine. I haven't heard that nick name in a while." I say and smile. It stays quiet for a while.
"Luke, how about we ditch the rest of the day?" Mike says as we pull up into his drive way.
"Fine by me." I say and we hop out of the car.
