I hate this.... I was brushing my new dyed green fur. It matched my eyes but I got to keep my peach fur. "Oh look how beautiful you look" Shadow said. I didn't dare to say anything to him. My heart was pounding as he got closer and I instinctively flinched as he reached to pet me. I was so used to him beating me, he chuckled as he continued petting me. "I know I haven't been nice in the past but I'm a changed man. I've been seeing a therapist and now that I have you, I don't need that therapist"he said as he hugged me. You don't need a therapist, you need to go to a mental institution! He let me go and lead me to the living room where a black and white puppy was sitting. "This is our dog Dexter" he said. The puppy barked and jumped up on me, begging for attention. I sat down and he sat on my lap. Shadow sat down next to me and sighed. "I've been dreaming of this since you left. That bastard took you from me and he was supposed to be my best friend" he said. His once happy tone was replaced by a all to familiar tone. He gripped my thigh and dug his nails into my leg. I whimpered and he immediately grabbed me by my face and made me look him in the eye. "You liked me more than him! That asshole doesn't know you like I know you! I love you! Say it back!" He screamed. I whined as his grip tightened on my cheeks. "Say it" he snarled and I gulped. "I...love you too..." I muttered. He was quite for a moment, just looking at me. Finally he released my face and stood up. "I'm going to make us something to eat, please stay" he said as he walked into the kitchen.
