She remembers the time when they first met,
In the wind and rain she was soaking wet,
He offered her his coat to keep her warm,
And protect her from the winters storm.Numbers exchanged and phone calls made,
Where dates were mentioned and plans conveyed,
The tingling excitement before her first date,
With the handsome stranger she had met by fate.Passions flame is well and truly lit,
Butterflies fluttering in her stomachs pit,
As she meets him there at the special place,
Her heart's a pumping like it's in a race. The date went well, he's the perfect gent,
An Adonis of love from the heavens sent,
Arrangements made to meet again,
To contain her lust will be a strain.Relationships nurtured and passions quenched,
Her feelings are free and her heart unclenched,
But slowly inside the Darkness arises,
And poor old Adonis is in for surprises. The Darkness she hides conspires to kill,
It lets her get hooked just for the thrill,
Then it rips her life slowly apart,
And from the beginning she has to start. Now poor Adonis he must die,
Tears welling as she lets out a sigh,
Resistance is futile this she has learnt,
Defy the Darkness and you get burnt. So with a heavy heart she slides the blade across his throat,
And watches the life fade from her sexy dreamboat,
Now the Darkness has won and she is consumed once more,
Sitting on her swing staring at the floor.© A S May 2015
