-----------------------------------MUZAN'S-POINT-OF-VIEW---------------------------

I was sitting in my office, reading about more information on the blue spider lily. I heard my door crack open, then someone shuffled in. I looked up from the book to see Kokushibo.

"Ah, Kokushibo. How can I help you?" I sat up straight, clasping my hands together and putting them on my desk.

"Muzan-Sama," he pulled out a small piece of paper, handing it to me. "I found more information on the blue spider lily."

I took it, my fingers lightly brushing off of his. I took the paper, unfolding it. I skimmed the information, and smiled. "Thank you, Kokushibo." I said, gesturing him to leave. He bowed before walking out of my office, shutting the door behind him.

I let out a soft sigh, putting the paper in the book I was reading.

When our fingers brushed up against each other, I felt my face get a bit hot.. This wasn't the first time it happened. Anytime I'm near him anymore, I just feel.. different. Not in a bad way, my heart just.. it beats a lot faster than normal. I think I may love him? That feeling.. is so weird to me. I don't get it. 

I put the book away, back on the shelf where I got it. I took a deep breath, trying to calm my thoughts. This wasn't right.. right? I mean, I think of Kokushibo as a mere business partner, nothing more. Up until now, I've felt nothing. Why now all of a sudden?

I let out a soft groan, pinching the bridge of my nose. This was definitely not right.

The sun was slowly setting, which means I was to give out missions. I walked to the meeting room where Nakime sat, playing something on her Biwa for Hantengu.

"Calm down, Hantengu." She said, playing a slow, calming song.

It seemed to have worked, because Hantengu wasn't shaking as badly. 

I walked over to Nakime, where she looked up at me.

"Ah, master Muzan. How may I help? Need to go somewhere?" She asked.

"It's sunset. You know what that means, missions." I said sarcastically. She looked at me and chuckled for a moment before she struck her biwa's strings, making her teleport all the upper ranks to the room. They bowed as soon as they met my aura.

"Alright, everyone. Your missions for the night will be-"

I stated all of the missions, everyone but Kokushibo had a mission for today. I did this for one reason: I wanted to see if he felt the same as I did for him.

I allowed Nakime to send everybody off on their missions, Akaza to the Mugen Train, specifically. I heard that the Flame Hashira, Kyojuro Rengoku, would be on that train. I sent Enmu, lower rank 1, there too, just to make sure no passengers were left alive.

I looked at Nakime, my eyes told her to teleport me and Kokushibo off to a room so we could talk. She struck her biwa, and we both were sent off to the room. 

Kokushibo bowed his head to me. I always loved how respectful and loyal he was.

I walked over to him, gently grabbing his chin with my thumb and index finger, lifting his head up so our eyes could lock.

"There's no need for that right now, Kokushibo. I want to have a.. talk." I said, letting go of his chin, sitting down in a chair.

"Have a seat." I said, gesturing for him to sit down in the chair next to me. He complied, sitting down. 

'What is it that you'd like to talk about, Muzan-sama?" Kokushibo asked, looking down at the ground. I heard all sorts of things running through his head, but one specific thought caught me attention.

"Is he mad at me?"

I sighed looking into his eyes. "I'm not mad at you, Kokushibo. I wanted to ask you a question." I said, I could feel a sigh of relief escape his mouth, his shoulders dropping. 

".. I've noticed that you become a bit.. flustered when you're near me. I wanted to ask this very simple question."

"You have a crush on me, don't you?"

I saw a red tint fill his cheeks as he looked away, closing his eyes. I tilted my head to the side, waiting for his answer.

I saw him nod his head a bit, which led my cheeks to become a bit pink. I bit my lip, looking down at the ground. 

"..Why.. do you ask..?" He asked softly, turning his attention back towards me. I looked into his eyes, my cheeks becoming even more hot.

"..Because.. I have the same feelings towards you, too." I said, my gaze locked on his.

He looked surprised, his cheeks tinting a bit more.

"Really..? You do..?" He asked.

I nodded, taking one of his pale hands in mine. "I do. I really do." I said, smiling softly at him.

He looked down at our locked hands, then back into my eyes.

His mouth was open slightly, he was still in a state of shock. I gently squeezed his hand, putting my other one on his cheek. 

My eyelids shut slowly,

my lips moving closer to his..

Hello all my lovely readers! I thank you so much for waiting for the chapter. I actually got it out in the estimated date deadline.. Surprisingly, right? 

This chapter is a bit longer than my others, and I think I'll try and write my next couple chapters with around 750-1,000 words. I don't want you guys to get bored over such short chapters. Hah.

I hope you enjoyed the chapter, and I can't wait to get the next one out! (There may or may not be a bit of spice in the next chapter.. 👀)
