Aditya and Avantika were standing like a statue after the announcement. They were in shock mode, unable to comprehend anything. When their parents came to them to congratulate
then only they reacted.

     " How was the surprise? I know you both are shocked by this sudden announcement, but I know both of you must be dancing in your heart." Malini asked.

    Aditya looked towards Avantika with scared expressions and she had same look on her face.

    " Mom, how can you guys announce wedding like this without discussing with us and that too in such a short notice?" He asked in anger.

Everyone looked at Aditya, even cameras started getting flashed and recording him. Avantika saw this and she was feeling restless. She knew what was going to happen and its aftermath was scaring her like hell. So, she decided to step in before it's too late.

   " Mom, please give both of us sometime alone to talk. This is a big shock for us, please understand our situation. We will see you inside house, please wait for us there." Avantika said and dragged him from there to back garden of her house.

   Aditya was still in shock and disbelief state.

   " Avantika, why you dragged me here? I would have clarified everything then and there. Please let me go and talk to them. This is not some stupid joke and if you think I had any idea of all this then trust me if I would have slightest of idea of it, then it would not have happened at all. This should not have happened. It's wrong. You don't worry, I will talk with them and sort out everything. This
wedding will not happen. Let's go inside now. Our conversation can wait. We will talk after clearing this mess." Aditya was just blabbering in anger and shock.

Avantika felt little hurt by hearing his words.

" Aditya please listen to me, first. I guess, it's too late now. Whole media was there and they would have already uploaded it as breaking news on all over internet. If we will go and tell them now then my parents will become very angry. You don't know them; they won't take it easily. My dad is a public figure and elections are just round the corner, he won't tolerate the negative publicity
and rumours of wedding cancellation news and my mom will think that it must be my fault, she will not say anything to you but will make my life hell. I came out of it with so much difficulty, I can't
tolerate that again. Today only we talked nicely after ages and it will be destroyed again. Please don't say anything to them, I beg you. " She pleaded to him.

" Then what you want me to do?" He asked in anger.

" I don't know. I am also shocked and completely clueless about what to do." She said with helpless voice.

Aditya felt bad for her.

  "Avantika,please trust me and let me go. I will handle everything and I promise, no will say anything to you and your family's image will also be safe. I can do that easily." He requested.

" How?" She asked with curiosity.

     " It's very simple. I will go and tell everyone; I am not interested in you. It was just a casual dating from my side and you and our families misunderstood it, so this wedding can't happen. No one will say a single word to you or your family. Infact, your family will get sympathy instead of negative publicity. It's this much easy and simple. With this one statement, everything will be sorted out, trust me and don't worry." He explained his plan.

  Avantika just looked at him in shock. He was ready to tarnish his image in public just to save her and her family image and free her from this mess. She was overwhelmed by this gesture of his but she was not that much selfish to let him do that. If she and her family's reputation was important so as his.
