Break the Rules - Charli XCX

Qibli's P.O.V.

BEEP BEEP BEEP!

I groaned. Half-conscious, I automatically slapped the alarm clock. But it didn't stop. Ughhh.  Yawning, I sat up to stop it. And that was when I froze. The time read... 7:50?!?

I immediately rushed around. Clothes flying everywhere. Me searching for toothpaste and remembering we don't have any. Stuffing my toothbrush in my pocket anyway. Filling my bags up with anything useful. I stomped down the hallway, gleefully waking up Sirocco and Rattlesnake. They're lucky they have somebody to wake them up. I threw a fruit salad and mini muffins from the fridge into my pack. Then put on my sneakers, which were getting a bit dirty, but they were my only ones. I fiddled for 5 seconds with the laces, then succeeded in tying it. I ran out the door.

Everything seemed to slow down after that. Me jogging in the hot, hot sun and sand getting in my shoes. The pinprick of a school just in the distance. My body sinking, sinking into the dunes, and my legs tiring. Sweat already drowning me only halfway through. My phone ringing, probably of my mum trying to get me to run back home for hemlock poisons. Ughhh.

In the distance, I heard the bell ring. Shoot. I'm going to be late. Definitely. Probably the last to enter. Will I even get to know which classes I'm going to or it's just going to be a guess 'cause I'm late. Thanks  Mum. I could now see the school in the distance, and I started running faster. The dunes were now lessening, giving way to a blissfully flat and sturdy ground. Hopefully the bell I just heard was at least the first or second bell. Please don't let it be the final one. I prayed. I can't go to the office again, two boarding schools in a row!

Finally, I sprinted through school gates, just as the last bell rang, with my arms aching and my legs sore. I felt grateful that someone had attached an oven tray to the bottom of the suitcase, otherwise it would've been impossible to drag it through the sand. But it was still a pain to be carrying three bags while dragging an overweight suitcase along. *Hiii guys sorry for the mini wait! This is also gonna be a bit short- but the next one will be longer!*

The teacher at the front desk was Fatespeaker. Scratch that, not a teacher at all. At least it wasn't Tsunami.... Anyways, I rushed over, and blurted out my name. "Qibli *gasp* Sunlight!" Fatespeaker raised an eyebrow, as though to question my lateness. "Well... I could've guessed that because," her voice went all low and mysterious, "Dun, dun. Duuuun! I HAVE SPECIAL MIND-READING POWERS."

Laughing at the shocked look on my face, she added, "Well it was probably because you were the last person in. But you never know..." She smiled spookily, handed me a map, timetable, welcome note and a armful of workbooks. I tottered away, eyes wide. I wondered if this was what she said to every other student. Probably not. Sighing, I hurried on through the numerous corridors. Finally finding my locker, I put down the books, map and bags. I relaxed after opening the welcome note, it read:

W͟e͟l͟c͟o͟m͟e͟,͟ ͟s͟t͟u͟d͟e͟n͟t͟s͟ ͟o͟f͟ ͟P͟y͟r͟r͟h͟i͟a͟.͟ ͟W͟e͟ ͟a͟r͟e͟ ͟a͟m͟a͟z͟e͟d͟ ͟t͟h͟a͟t͟ ͟y͟o͟u͟ ͟h͟a͟v͟e͟ ͟d͟e͟c͟i͟d͟e͟d͟ ͟t͟o͟ ͟g͟o͟ ͟t͟o͟ ͟'͟J͟a͟d͟e͟ ͟M͟o͟u͟n͟t͟a͟i͟n͟ ͟C͟o͟l͟l͟e͟g͟e͟'͟.͟ ͟H͟e͟r͟e͟,͟ ͟y͟o͟u͟ ͟w͟i͟l͟l͟ ͟f͟i͟n͟d͟ ͟s͟t͟u͟d͟e͟n͟t͟s͟ ͟o͟l͟d͟e͟r͟,͟ ͟y͟o͟u͟n͟g͟e͟r͟ ͟a͟n͟d͟ ͟s͟i͟m͟i͟l͟a͟r͟ ͟a͟g͟e͟ ͟l͟e͟a͟r͟n͟i͟n͟g͟ ͟w͟i͟t͟h͟ ͟y͟o͟u͟.͟ ͟T͟o͟d͟a͟y͟ ͟y͟o͟u͟ ͟s͟h͟a͟l͟l͟ ͟e͟x͟p͟l͟o͟r͟e͟.͟ ͟B͟u͟t͟ ͟e͟v͟e͟r͟y͟d͟a͟y͟ ͟y͟o͟u͟ ͟w͟i͟l͟l͟ ͟e͟x͟p͟l͟o͟r͟e͟!͟

Still having the aftermaths of Fatespeaker's welcome, I thought that a ghost might be haunting the note. Spooky. I merged with the other students, who were all laughing, chatting and playing. With friends. I felt a twinge of sadness that I didn't have any here. I hope my dorm mates will be alright.

Ignoring the feeling, I continued on, and was swept in the crowd to the cafeteria. It looked crazy. It was CRAZY. People playing plate frisbee, a food fight, something that sounded suspiciously like a cow mooing in the kitchen, and a gigantic line for free roast chicken. I walked to the only empty food choice, and loaded up on it. It was bean stew (eww!) but I got it anyways. At least it's free. Gulping down the cruel concoction, I headed to the boys dormitory. Barely missing a grey meatball, I thought.

Well, this is gonna be great. Right?

A/N- -

Hi!!! Another chapter finished! Yayyy! I know this was short, it would've been longer, but WATTPAD did NOT agree with me, by deleting half of my work. Alright, fine, I was kinda lazy to write it all again, I have to confess. Well, nothing else here, so byeee!

P.S. 3918 words.
