It was an enchanted evening shared over a candlelit dinner of cheeseburgers and strawberry milkshakes. Consisted of exchanged pleasantries and shared heart felt stories that followed with a clamor of laughter, Gray found himself completely engrossed in the moment. He felt like he had known Brooklyn his entire life even though they had only just met. As the two delved into deep conversation Gray found himself being open and honest about his upbringing and current life. Brooklyn listened attentively whenever Gray spoke, she took great interest in what he had to say while sharing a few of her life's experiences as well.
"Thanks for going out with me," Gray said to the girl with a smile.
"Of course. I had a really great time with you," Brooklyn replied while smiling back, before tucking a strand of hair behind her ear.
Gray couldn't help but to smile once more while looking down at himself, the atmosphere was filled with a warming intensity, he couldn't hide how she made him feel. With her he forgot about all of his problems.
"I wish this night didn't have to end," Gray said suddenly and honestly.
"Me neither, but unfortunately all good things must come to an end," the girl said.
"Yeah," Gray mumbled while feeling a bit down.
"Hey?" the girl said causing him to look at her, "Why the long face? We have plenty more dates to go on," she said with a sly smile.
That then caused Gray to smile even harder than he did ever before. Her words had gave him just the reassurance he was looking for.
"Well, we probably should get going, you know, before my brother begins to worry," she said.
"Yeah, we wouldn't want that," Gray said before standing from the table.
The girl followed after him, standing as well before picking up her purse and the bouquet of flowers that was sitting on the table.
Gray had bought them for her when they were on their way to the restaurant, taking note from what Noah said to him earlier. Although Brooklyn insisted that it was okay, he got her flowers anyways.
"Thanks again for these," Brooklyn said while holding up the bouquet.
"No problem," Gray replied before taking out his wallet from his jeans and retrieving money to put on the table.

After the dinner was over, the sky had darkened with little to no sign of daylight and only that was left behind to be seen were stars. Even despite all that had glistened in the dark night sky, Gray found the sparks in Brooklyn's eyes to be his most favorite of stars, they resembled a whirlpool galaxy to him. He took a great likeness to her eyes as he stared deeply into them. Never breaking eye contact with her, he thought about the possibility if he could have stared into them all night.
