Layla Macher, daughter of the late Stu Macher and Tatum Riley. Layla grew up with her uncle Dwight 'Dewey' Riley and her aunts Sidney Prescott and Gale Weathers, her uncle is Tatum's brother, her aunt Sidney was her mother's best friend and her aunt Gale was married to Dewey so it automatically made Gale her aunt. Layla is your average teenager as some people would describe her, mostly her friends describe her that way. Although Layla has heard stories about the ghostface killings, she didn't know what was about to happen in the original town where it all happened for the first time. One person Layla would do anything for is Tara Carpenter, she has been in love with Tara ever since she found out she liked girls. Layla has been with other girls, but even when she was with those girls, she always thought about Tara and wanted to know what it would be like to be with her. Layla wishes that she got to see her mother and father just one time. Layla was now in custody of Dewey since he was her uncle.

Layla was at home watching a show and texting Tara.

Layla shut off her phone walking into her uncles room to ask if she could go see Tara.

Layla knocked on the door to Dewey's room. Dewey opened the door as Layla entered the room.

"Hey kiddo. Is everything okay?" Dewey wanted to make sure that Layla was alright

"Yes everything is fine. I came to ask if I could go over to Tara's, she really wants me to come over" Layla looked at the picture of her mom that her uncle had hanging on his wall

"Yes, you can go to Tara's house. Thank you for asking before you just went" Dewey hugged Layla

"Thank you" Layla pulled away from the hug

"Be safe and text me when you get there, I love you kiddo" Dewey hugged Layla one more time before she went out the door

"I will, I love you too uncle Dewey" Layla pulled away from the hug pulling out her phone to text Tara

He said that I could come over, so I'll be there in a little bit

Layla grabbed her keys and checked her phone to see if Tara had messaged her back yet. No message from Tara. Tara also hasn't read the text message. Layla was starting to get worried, so Layla started her car and drove to Tara's house as fast as possible. When Layla got to her house there was an ambulance and cops all over the place. Layla got out of her car with a confused look on her face.

"What happened?" Layla asked walking up to a police officer

"Ma'am you can't be here right now" the police officer told Layla

"I know the person who lives here" Layla reassured him

"Ma'am I'm gonna need you to come down to the station" the police officer said
