Tick.
Tick.
Tick.
Tick.
Mrs Blue tapped her pen on the clipboard, sitting across from her was her patient that was silently staring at the clock ticking behind her.
"Well, Mr Roth, it seems like you've been feeling well this week and I am pleased to see your results have improved, your stress level is not high and you've become more open to me about the incident.", he nods, she looks back at her clipboard as she re-reads all she has noted about his trauma.
"Well, how as the new medicine been, has it been helpful for your stress?", he sighed,"I guess. . .", she noted his tone, it sounded devoid of emotion so she makes a note of that.
"Is there, any thoughts you wish to share with me?"
. . .
He sighed,"Look, I appreciate all your help, I do. . . But, I guess I just don't feel like it's enough, like there is something bothering me, it's right in front of me but. . .", he sighed, leaning back in his seat feeling like he was losing his mind.
However she wrote that down,"Perhaps your mind is not ready to move on?", "Sorry?", she nods,"Yes; I have had many patients that choose to move on or cope in different ways, and it's our job to make sure they do so in healthy ways.", she put the clipboard on a small table by her side, What I am merely suggesting Mr Roth, is maybe returning to where the incident had happened you can find some closure.", he sat up more, this seemed to connect something in his head.
Confronting the past?
Like going back??
The therapist nods,"Yes, some want to confront the past for closure or some leave the past be, but it's up to you what you want much like how it's up to you if you want to involve your parents, or if you want to suggest some mediation or any treatments at all."
. . .
"I understand, I will again ask of uou to not tell my family anything, they had nothing to do with the incident and they'll only stop me."
She nods, making a note of that so, nothing as changed about his relationship with his parents.
Mr Roth stood up,"I best be leaving, you're probably wanting to see your next patient.", she nods,"Call me to book your next appointment and I'll see you next time, Mr Roth.", with that he left the room, another patient walking in and taking the seat across from her.

Nicky sat on the floor of his apartment.
His mind going back and forth between the pros and cons of what he wanted to do, it was stupid and he knew but his mind could never rest on just leaving the past alone or being on medication to calm his stress levels or to help him sleep just to be awaken after like 1 or 2 hours of sleep.
. . .
Ring
Ring
Ring
Nicky picked up his phone, who was calling at this time-
Of course it was his mom.
He just declined it again, putting his phone on silent just so later he can make up an excuse like he put his phone on silent to try and sleep better.
Nicky then threw his phone aside, laying on the floor as he thought about his decisions in life that lead him to a life of therapy.
. . .
Okay; He's made up his mind up.

"You're up late, dude."
Luke stared at his friend-well, acquaintance, looking tired as shit as always.
"Just give me this and a couple of pumps of gas."
Nick paid, Luke nods,"Heading somewhere, finally running away from your parents?", Nick shrugged,"Mix of that and something else.", "Where're headin'?", Nick sighed, rubbing his eyes,"I just-Somewhere, I don't want to talk about it.", Luke rolled his eyes, clicking a few buttons on the register,"Jeez, aren't you a Ray of moonlight at night.", Nicky didn't answer, just waited for him to give him the thumbs up that everything has been paid and he could keep going before his brain would just shut down and force him to sleep.
"You good, man."
"Thanks."
With that Nicky left with his stuff and more gas for his car.
When he got to the chair, he saw his phone lighting up of missed calls from his parents but simply turned off jis notifications and making sure they weren't trying to track him with some app, before he got back in the chair and continued driving.

. . .
Nicky expected to see some crackhead on the side of the road, warning him of the danger or to turn back while he still had a chance or some shit from a horror film.
But the roads were empty of any life other than nature, but Nick saw a familiar sign up ahead that gave him a sense of nostalgia, he didn't know if it was a or bad nostalgia. . . But he was happy to see the sign:

Welcome To Raven Brooks.

Nicky took a few moments to breath, he had been driving all night and had finally arrived.
No turning back now.
He drove into Raven Brooks.

~

Driving slowly, he saw many of the houses that were once so colourful now drained of their colour, abandoned or boarded up.
People finally leave?
This was practically a ghost town.
He parked the car in front of his old house, back when he lived in Raven Brooks.
He noticed this. . . Giant hole in the ground, so he should be mindful of that.
He climbed into the back of his chair, laying down on the backseat to gather all his thoughts.
He was back, he was really going to do this and he's already got so many questions in the first like. . . 3 minutes he's been back.
Though, his eyes stung and when he tired to sit up he couldn't l, like someone superglued him to the backseat.
But. . . Nicky was too tried to try, he wanted his hour of sleep so he simply gave in.
