Turtlejou Alert... Sort of
It was amazing how competitive the sons of Coral got when anyone suggested any sort of competition.
It began harmlessly enough, Fin poured slime in someone's water bottle. And everyone got in on it. You couldn't take two steps in that house without getting pranked. There were feathers, paint and flour everywhere, clingwrap was in short supply and everyone was on edge.
Except Turtle.
Turtle was smart enough to know that there was no way he could win a prank war, so he started to make alliances. Pretty soon, each of Turtle's brothers was convinced that it was him and Turtle on a secret team. Every. Single. One. So Turtle was immune from all pranks.
About a month this went on, until Turtle and Kinkajou found the best possible way to deliver a winning stroke and end the prank war. As the war wore one, it became clear that the only way to win was to do something so spectacular that the others couldn't top it. And that's what Team Turtlejou did.
First, Turtle snuck around, collected everyone's shampoo bottles and squeezed hair dye into them, a horrible puke green colour. Then, he left a note for each of his brothers, telling them to come to the living room. And they did. Turtle knew, that to win this war, sacrifices had to be made. So he was on the floor with everyone when the prank went off. On his cue, Kinkajou released the lids on about 40 cans of hot pink paint that they'd suspended upside down on the roof. And everyone copped it.
But Turtle wasn't done. He then proceeded to throw both feathers and glitter at them. His brothers surrendered and Turtle was declared the winner. All was right with the world in his opinion, until two weeks later.
Turtle and his brothers were travelling en masse to Auklet's birthday party when they saw something on the side of the road that made the mighty convoy of motorbikes screech to a halt.
It was a billboard, the biggest billboard Turtle had ever seen. On it, was a picture of Turtle and his brothers covered in paint, feathers, and glitter with the words "I win." Fuming, Turtle called his girlfriend. "Girls will almost always win Turtle."
Turns out, Kinkajou had won the prank war.
