In the depths of the underground castle, Hoshi found himself imprisoned in a dimly lit cell. The air was heavy with a sense of foreboding, and the walls seemed to whisper secrets that only the shadows could comprehend. Hoshi's heart raced with a mixture of fear and determination as he assessed his surroundings.
As his eyes adjusted to the gloom, Hoshi noticed intricate patterns etched into the walls, depicting twisted vines and roses intertwined with thorns. It was evident that Melantha's influence seeped into every corner of her domain.
From beyond the cell door, Hoshi could hear faint echoes of Melantha's laughter. It sent chills down his spine. His thoughts raced as he pondered his next move.
Meanwhile, Haru and Juancho had managed to escape the clutches of the rose vines that had ensnared them. They were determined to rescue their dear brother and put an end to Melantha's wicked plans, though.
"What can we do Haru? I'm scared!" Juancho cried.
"Hoshi isn't the only deity in the world. I even met the Desert Sentinel in person. Maybe he can help." Haru had the sudden idea of talking to Kasai.
The tanned teen turned into the Welsh Dragon and motioned its head for Juancho to climb upon its back.
"Are we flying to the Desert Sentinel?" Juancho's eyes sparkled.
Haru did the same motion. Juancho climbed atop the Dragon and right through the winds they did go.
Through the winds, Haru and Juancho soared, their destination set on finding the Desert Sentinel, Kasai. The air rushed past them, carrying the echoes of their determination and hope.
As they flew over vast deserts and arid landscapes of the Dry Lands, Haru's eyes scanned the horizon for any sign of Kasai's presence. Finally, in the distance, they spotted a figure standing atop a sand dune, cloaked in fiery robes, his gaze fixed upon the horizon.
Haru descended gracefully, landing on the desert sands. Juancho hopped off his back and approached the Desert Sentinel with a mixture of excitement and trepidation.
"Identify yourselves!" The man demanded.
"We are from the Forest. Hoshi is our guardian." Haru explained as he came back to his human form.
Kasai remembered who he was.
"Oh. Haru, right? What brings you and your friend to the Dry Lands? And why isn't Hoshi along with you?" Kasai spoke innocently.
"Hoshi was captured by the princess of the underground kingdom. We need your help to save him. For everything he has done to protect us." Haru's eyes begged Kasai for help.
"Did you say princess of the underground?"
"He did." Juancho answered.
"How did she capture Hoshi? He doesn't have many weak points as I know." Kasai was left confused.
"She had roses. Just like the ones we saw at the temple."
"Then she must have been at the temple before us. Maybe she knows about the taint." Kasai's fiery gaze hardened with determination as he processed the information. "The only way to cure it is to have all the deities perform a ritual..."
"Do you think she wants you all for some sort of plan?" Haru asked with fear in his eyes.
"We can't risk it. But we need to risk it to find out what is happening." Kasai's voice became serious. "I will call the others." He sounded very determined. "I suggest you stay here, they can be a bit unstable."
Haru and Juancho nodded and agreed to stay there.
Kasai's counterpart came to be. Its eyes glew with fury as it ran through the desert.
