Wait! Before you start!

I would recommend going to Caleb Hyle's channel and listening to him sing "I'm Still Here"

His voice is so amazing, and he sounds like how Jim would if he sung this song.

Anyway!

Flashbacks will be in BOLD!

Present in normal

And Song in Bold with a Line!

...

Third Person P.O.V

(Y/N) sighs with exhaustion from her spot on the hanging board, watching Jim struggle to get a barnacle off the ship as he sits next to her.

"Put some elbow into it!" Silver scolds, pointing at the ship.

Jim manages to get it off, and sighs heavily, the two looking at the rest of the ship and sighing in defeat.

...

(Y/N) was watching Jim and Silver peeling their potatoes, hers already all done from practice at the Benbow Inn.

She gently leans her head onto Jim's shoulder, making him pause and look down at her with a small smile before resuming.

Silver looks over at the two, noticing both seemed lost in thought.

I... Am a question to the world.

The scene shows a young Jim, looking out his window in anticipation.

Not an answer to be heard

Sarah sadly looks at her son, grabbing him and hugging him.

Jim shakes his head to rid of the memory, looking over at (Y/N).

Or a moment that's held in your arms.

And what do you think you'd ever say?

(Y/N) and Jim watch Silver as he angrily waves a rope, trying to teach them how to tie it.

I won't listen anyway.

He demonstrates, not noticing that the two teens were already gone.

You don't know me.

Silver looks up in surprise, seeing both ropes perfectly tied.

And I'll never be what you want me to be

Silver watches Jim side hug (Y/N) while they walk away before smirking, impressed.

...

And what do you think you'd understand?

Jim and (Y/N) scrub the main deck harshly, and (Y/N) can't help but giggle at Jim's apron. He glares at her with a smile and shakes his head, sticking his tongue out playfully at her.

His smile fades when Silver stands over them, crossing his arms.

I'm a boy, no! I'm a man!

The two square up, making (Y/N) sigh with a raised brow. Silver shoves a bucket of soap to him and points to the deck, and Jim dumps it.

You can take me and throw me away

Young Jim sits in the middle of a room, finishing his toy boat.

And how can you learn what's never shown

Jim's father enters, making Jim smile and show it proudly to his dad.

Yeah, you stand here on your own
