The next morning I text Zach.

*Z-Zach, S-Serena*

S- Aye Zach, wanna hang out,

Z- Of course! When?

S- Mmm, around 12:00,

Z- Sounds great! Where you wanna meet up?

S- How about the doc? Then we'll go places from there!

Z- Sounds perfect (;

I didnt really think anything of the face. I'm just happy that Zach and I came up to be friends, he's really nice

I get ready and put on a mint green crop top with high waisted shorts. Straighten my hair and head downstairs.

"Hey babe where you goin?" Hayes asks me

"To hang out witg Zach." I reply

"Oh." He says offended.

"What's wrong?" I say to him

"Nothing Serena, I just feel that you're starting to fall for Zach..." He tells me

"Hayes, I barely met him yesterday. He wont get in the way of our relationship, okay?" I say in a serious tone

"Promise? That you'll never go with him, and ditch me? Cause i don't wanna lose you. You're the best thing that has ever happened to me, and I dont want that taken away from me." He says

"Hayes, of course I promise. I dont have eyes for no one but you!" I say

"Okay, see you soon beautiful" he tells me

"See ya babe" i say back

Zach and I meet up at the doc. We talk for a bit. Then something cathes my eye.

"Zach?" I ask him

"Serena?" He says back

"If you live in Austin, why are you in North Carolina?" I say confused

"Oh. Well, one of my really good friends live here, and I'm going to school here just for 8th grade only." He says

"So you're going to Davidson Day!" I tell him

"No, online school, like you." He says laughing

"I might not do online school, its up to my Dad..."

"We'll still be friends... Right?" He tells me

"Of course. Always and forever!" I tell him

We look back into the lake. I'm I starting to like Zach? I mean I used to way before Hayes and I started to talk again. I cant! I love Hayes, and Hayes only.

Suddenly I feel someone getting closer to me. Then as fast as a lightning bolt, Zach kisses me. But I dont stop him or pull away. I want to. But for some reason I can't. Finally we stop.

"Uh..." i say speechless

"Serena, I'm so sorry, I couldn't help it! I know you're with Hayes but, I'm in love with you. Like I never have been before with anyone else!"

"Zach its okay... I used to like you before Hayes and I talked again. And I still kinda do. But I cant do that to Hayes. I love Hayes... more. Please dont be mad at me, you're still my best friend, and always will be!" I tell him

"Serena, I understand. I can't just walk in on your guy's relationship. And of course I'm not mad, we'll still be best friends. I just want you to know I love you. And support you whoever you choose. If you're happy, I'm happy." He says with tears in his eyes

I go in and hug him. By this point he's really crying. I just keep on hugging him and tell him It's okay.

After that we go and hang out. We post a few selfies with eachother on instagram. Then by the time its 7:42 we both head home.

I walk into the house.

"Hayes, I'm here!" I yell

"Coming!" He yells back

"Hayes, we need to talk."

We both head upstairs to his room, we close the door.

"Hayes, I want you to know that Zach told me he liked me "

"What! Excuse me?"

"Its okay though, I love you. And before he told me he kissed me. But it meant nothing at all. He told me that he would never come between you and I." I say calmly

"Okay. I'm kinda mad, but not at you. I appreciate you telling me right now instead of another time. I love you" he said while kissing me

"I love you too baby 2k" i say while laughing

"How bout we go watch Netflix while falling asleep." He says

"Sounds wonderful!"

We both dress into some pajamas and watch Netflix. Of course we fall asleep.

I've decided that I can't like Zach. While I'm dating Hayes. Its just too wrong. Besides I love Hayes way more than I'll ever love Zach or anyone else.
