Chapter 3: Entrance Exam

" Huff! Huff! What about moving all this junk on this old ass beach is going to help me with getting your power!?" asked RJ, throwing some old tires in a stack.

" HAHA! We need to train that body of yours! You didn't think I would just give it to you right away did you!?" shouted All Might sitting on top of a busted-up refrigerator.

" Mind helping me out here?"

All Might and RJ were at an abandoned beach with a bunch of junk thrown out by people over the years on it. So much junk that you could barely see the horizon of the beach itself. RJ moved some more junk out of the way before sitting on the sand to catch his breath.

" A weak body wouldn't be able to withstand the power of One For All. Your limbs would fly off and your body, blown to bits!" said All Might while laughing.

" I'd appreciate it if you didn't laugh while saying something like that. Don't know if I want to take that risk anymore. Anyways, I work out pretty regularly. I wouldn't say I'm out of or in shape," said RJ while flexing.

" If you're not 100 percent sure if you're in shape then we can't take that risk. That's why I called you here today. This beach was left to rot for who knows how many years. I want you to clean up this entire beach for the next couple of months."

RJ looked around at all the junk surrounding the beach and sighed heavily; continuing to pick up even more junk.

" Which school have you enrolled in by the way?" asked All Might.

" U.A. Same school you went to. Crap! I need to change my enrollment from General Studies to the Hero Course!" shouted RJ panicking.

" Perfect! This perfectly aligns with the plan I have drafted. It's 10 months left until the entrance exam so I created this. It's called the "Aim to Pass! American Dream Plan!"

All Might took out seven pieces of paper from his back pocket. The papers had a schedule for RJ to follow with what time and days he should work out. It also had what kind of diet he should take too.

" You sure are an American fanboy, All Might. I miss living out there sometimes," said RJ while reading over the schedule on the pieces of paper.

" I figured you weren't from here," said All Might.

" What's that supposed to mean?"

" Ah! I didn't mean it that way! It was just a guess!"

" I'm just messing with you. I get that a lot. I was born in America but my parents ended up getting jobs here in Japan when I was just three. We moved back for a couple of years but ended up just choosing to live here instead. Me and my pops still go back for summer vacation every year though. I like it here though."

" Phew. You scared me there kid. Everything else aside, are you up to it? It's still your decision whether you want to inherit One For All."

" When I said I'll do it I meant it. If I want to make it, I'm going to have to train harder than everyone else to catch up."

All Might nodded and RJ continued junk cleaning for the day. For the next ten months, RJ followed the training plan that All Might made for him. He also invited his father to help out with his training on the days where All Might wasn't available. He trained his strength and his Water Compression quirk to find out the true potential of it. He consistently tried to make a bigger water shuriken compared to the small ones he can already make. Eventually, RJ was able to create a big water shuriken on his back that was in a "X" shape. He tried to create more objects out of water but was only able to create the water shurikens for the time being. Ten months of training eventually came to an end and the day of the entrance exam for U.A. came.
