Nobody likes Brayden but he was appointed by Mckenzie to run things so we all listen to his orders, However when he isn't around everyone listens to me. He wears a army generals outfit that is two sizes bigger than him and walks around barking orders at everyone. As we enter he snickers because this is the same boy who bullied us all the time when we went to school for being different. Paige quickly gets down to business. "We are leaving tonight. It is a boys birthday and were getting him a present." I look over to Paige surprised that she spoke up. Brayden starts laughing. "You two are so stupid to risk your lives for a stupid present. Try to pick up stuff we actually need to survive with." With that we exit the office leaving Brayden alone. As we walk down the hallway we call over the rest of our friends. "Garret the kids seem better with you please watch them for me and keep them learning. Daniel I need you to keep on the radios just in case anything happens. Riliegh please keep guard and watch all around." All three teens nod and walked away. "Are you ready?" I look over to Paige putting my bow over my head and my knife jacket on. Paige nods and puts her head phones in her ears. She always does this before we go out and I can hear the loud guitars and drums busting out of the ear buds. I fix her hair back in a pony tail so it doesn't get in her eyes. As we head out Sammy runs downstairs. "Hey! Where are you guys going?" I look over to Paige as she ignores the problem of lying and giving it to me. "Well we think that there are survivors near the church so were going out to investigate." I look down at him realizing this might be the last time I see him and everyone else in the Home. Sammy was the only one who actually understood Paige and I. I do a hair flip and smile at him as i pull him into a hug. "Ok stay safe! Bye!" With that he runs back upstairs. Paige and I walk to the truck and hop in.
