Chapter 5

2 months later.... Christmas

I haven't seen Zach in 2 months. The day he stormed out of my house was the last time I saw it talked to him. I'm pretty sure he hates me.

I tried calling and texting and writing but no response.

I'm currently at the Bryan house helping Kenzie and Dewayne with the decorations. My house is done we have a few hours before Zach Jeff and Lisa will be home.

My home is already decorated. I did it when I got home from thanksgiving at Jeff and Lisa's house.

"Did y'all see Zach is like going viral now?!" Mackenzie called out looking at her phone

"No I haven't" De said

She showed us a video of him singing and playing guitar "everyone is going crazy over him" she said

"He's got some talent... DeAnn always wanted him to be a singer she loved hearing him" De said

"When was that posted?" I asked
"Like a few weeks ago. He's got more" she said

She put her phone on the Bluetooth speaker and played the songs as we finished decorating and cooking.

We have 12 days until Christmas and we are so excited to be a family together even though we are missing my dad and DeAnn.

"Hey El... will you be my model? I want to try out my new camera before the holidays" Mackenzie asked
She's a photography major and she just got her first professional camera

"Duh!!" I said

"Okay I have outfits laid out" she said as we walked to her room.

I changed and we went to the pasture she started snapping pictures and we were just messing around too.

After about 30 minutes of photos and freezing we went back to the house to see the others had made it.

I took off my hat as we walked into the house.

"Ohhhh look at you!!" Lisa called out making everyone look towards me.

Zachs eyes went wide

"You look beautiful Ella" Jeff said
"Thank you uncle J" I said hugging him

"We were just playing around with my new camera" Kenzie told them

"Oh I can't wait to see them" Lisa said
