Amara's POV
I anxiously rushed down the gravel road, the king had given me a very important and dangerous quest and I needed to be swift. As I did my little anxious walk I ended up in front of a... bar? I looked inside to see creatures of all species inside, I let out a breath I hadn't realized I'd been holding and entered the welcoming bar.
The bar had an orange tint to it, candles aliened neatly along the oak walls, tables of different sizes were sorted around the building, a counter near the corner with drinks on the wall, a painting of a dragon protecting a human, and fire around it, it was probably there to signify peace between species. there was a carpet in the middle of the place, the building had an alcoholic smell to it like you could almost taste the burning drinks. A strange one-eyed creature greeted me once it noticed me staring. It had a strong Russian accent and appeared to be around 5'6 or 5'7.
"How may I be of assistants to you?" It took me a second to register what he said before I shyly spoke. "Ah I don't need any drinks, thank you though... I am fairly busy and can't really afford to waste any money heh..."
The man nodded in an understanding manner, he poured a drink in a shot glass and gave it to the strange, hooded man next to me, the bartender proceeded to strike up a conversation with me, "Mind sharin' about your travels? And say what has you so busy?" I nodded, relieved to finally get this off my chest. "Oh yes, I can tell you about my current assignment, the king of Azarath has given me the quest of finding this woman here, a top criminal" I showed him a wanted poster of a dangerous criminal, then continued once I saw him nod "I need to bring her back dead or alive to the dungeons, preferably alive though.
The creature gave a small smile "sounds quite dangerous for a young elf hm? care if I tag along?" I thought about the man's request for a minute, it would be nice having company and it would benefit on manpower, I smiled "it would be preferred thank you!"
After a couple hours the creature shut the bar down for the night... well for however long their journey will take. as we exited the building, I suddenly realized I had no name for the stranger. "Oh uhm... question, what's your name? Mine is Amara" The looked somewhat amazed "that's a beautiful name, mine is Solus" I blush from embarrassment and nod, I smiled "thank you, Solus."
As we began to head out, we suddenly heard a feminine voice yell for us to stop, a young demon looking girl ran up to us, she shook Solus "how dare you try to leave without me! oh who is this?! a new friend!" she looked at me with admiration and a big grin, "hello! I'm nuke, what's your name?" I smiled nervously "oh uhm... I-I'm Amara heh" Nukes grin got even bigger "oh my! that's so pretty oh we are gonna be bestest of friends you and I." I nodded, giving a quick glance at solus who sighed "give our new friend some space, not every wants a little peasant up in their face 24/7," Nuke frowned at solus before letting me go, she stood up straight.
We finally continued our journey again, this time with Nuke. I filled her in on what was happening and what our plan was, as we talked, I saw that same strange, hooded man watching us from afar, I couldn't make out what the man's face was but once the man realized I saw him the seemed to turn into a bird and flew off with bits of flame being left where he once stood.
