Part 4: The Cult

We were walking to the store when we encountered a strange group of people. They reminded me of the Box Club in my own universe, but they called themselves "The Box Fanatics". They were talking about... The God Box.... Honestly, I really didn't think I'd hear that name again after well.... They wore boxes on their head like the Box Club, but one of them caught my attention. He looked oddly like the Box Club leader.

             "Hey, Sir, would you like to hear about The God Box, our lord and savior?" said the leader.

             "No. Not really," I responded.

            "Wait a minute? Do I know you from somewhere?" said the leader with a skeptical look on his box (I don't know how they change the expressions on their boxes that fast).

            "Uh, no why?" I said.

            "You remind me of someone, but I can't put my finger on it...... Anyways! Have a nice day!" replied the leader.

I found it weird, but Mario was impatient and wanted to get a move on. We reached the store and looked for the things we needed (Basic groceries if you were wondering). Mario couldn't help but immediately go for the spaghetti, while Spudnick asked me if I could buy him a teddy bear. Honestly, I was happy to get a teddy bear for Spudnick because I had grown to like him more recently. Anyways, we were about to pay at the front desk when...... Those Box Fanatic members burst in and demanded anti-freeze! The person at the front desk had to comply and get them the anti-freeze.

The front desk employee told us to return the anti-freeze after they left. In return we would get our groceries for free. I couldn't turn down free stuff, so I agreed. We saw the Box Fanatic members enter a concealed door behind a vending machine as we followed them. However, the door closed, and we couldn't slip in. It took us a while to figure out the code on the damn vending machine when we realized... it didn't require a code. Two hours of my life wasted! After we snuck inside, we discovered that it led to a vast chamber. 

Inside the chamber, the Box Fanatic Leader was leading some sort of cult worship session. We listened to them while we were hiding behind a table. They were talking about what you would expect a box cult to talk about. The God Box will save us yada yada. You get the point! I decide to confront the leader. I mean he really couldn't do anything right?

              "Hey!" I yelled.

              "Oh, it's you." said the leader.

              "What are you doing with the anti-freeze!" I said.

              "Why do you even need it?" asked the leader.

              "I can't argue with free stuff." I replied.

              The leader exclaimed, "Whatever, besides that anti-freeze will help us achieve box divinity!"

              "Are you seriously talking about that stupid God Box! It was destroyed idiot!" I yelled.

             "Silence heathen! How dare you disgrace the name of the God Box. Our robot seize the heathens!" yelled the leader.

Before I could ask what he meant, A robot shoved me to the ground (I assumed this was what they were using the anti-freeze for). Spudnick tried to attack the robot, but his small size made it easy for the robot to grab him. Mario stood up and ran for help. Me and Spudnick were shoved in a cell to watch them finish the worship. After the worship finished, The Box Fanatics Leader turned to look at us. We were the sacrifices. Spudnick and I began to panic. I hoped Mario would get back here in time with aid.... and he did. Mario, Axol, and Desti interrupted the sacrifice. The Box Fanatics weren't happy and attempted to stop them, but they failed (Mainly because Desti is a decent fighter and Axol has a literal katana). We were freed much to the dismay of the Box Fanatics Leader.

The Box Fanatics Leader was effectively powerless. However, He had different plans. There was this replica of The God Box in the middle of the chamber. He began to say this odd cult language or whatever, but the box opened and began to pull us in. We tried to hold onto something, but it was futile. We were sucked into the box, and he closed it on us. We woke up on a raft in the middle of the ocean. Then, we witnessed a large worm-like creature emerge from the sea. Our first encounter with The Ambassador.
